Drone videography is such a wonderful gift for railway enthusiasts…in a few minutes you’ve shown us a great deal more than we could evaluate at ground level…even if we could visit the area! (My travelling days are over .I’m afraid and I was last in Foynes visiting the Flying Boat Museum in 2010!). Great video….I’m looking forward to more of the same and have subscribed. Great video thanks. Line should be double track to expand passanger travel on the future. Traveled on a special in the 90s with the ITG great trip that day to Foynes
There's no point for the line to be double track. The only passenger services (if there ever will be) are going to be the commuter trains from Limerick to Foynes, and, possibly a few more stations on the route. This line will be mostly used for freight trains from Limerick to the Foynes harbour. Although I really hope there will be passenger trains running as well.

They tore up the old track recently due to the poor state of it. They currently work on the ballast and hopefully soon will be laying new track.

Yes for both passengers and goods
