Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg has to be one of my favorite area ever! We absolutely loved it there.

The hubby and I will be traveling full time in a Class A after we both retire in a few years. In the meantime, there are some TH-cam channels which I enjoy watching. The two of you are one of them. I think I laugh at something in every one because of Brian's sense of humor....its always spot on! Keep up the great videos....it's a nice reminder of what we have to look forward to in the meantime.

The old farm/ visitors center you visited in Cherokee, NC often has several elk show up late afternoon. One time we counted 38 with several bulls.
We were hoping to see some elk but we only saw one young one on the way to that visitors center. Just another reason to go back someday and see more. Thanks for watching! 😁🤓

I agree with you on the tow dolly being a pain. One trip out west and back we sold it and the mini Cooper and got a jeep and flat tow 💯% better than the tow dolly. Another great video 👍

have fun trip real missed my vacation in 1970 -1977 with my family for a long time ago as we slept the truck with the camper when I grew up by this year from 1978 that had been changed alots. Still wish that I go on the vacation by myself, but not be able to go cuz I had to take care of my mom in her 79's but my father was gone since in 2007 after my father became his illness and passed away. I wish I could trip on my vacation just missed the truck with the camper that my father sold the truck camper long time ago. I missed that.

Back in the late 80's, I was driving home from CT and decided to spend a couple nights in Pigeon Forge. Back then it was a VERY small town and I made friends with 2 couples that were probably in their 60's and staying at the same motel. They took my under their wings and decided they were gonna teach me how to clog dance! LOL And they did! Every evening in the parking lots of all the businesses, were bands playing and most everyone clog dancing. Btw ... our motel backed up to that babbling brook! Ohhh ... the memories! I've been back but the commercialism of the whole are just ruined it for me. Still a gorgeous area!!

My first visit to Silver Dollar City in Branson ... the parking lot was gravel I was a kid) and you pulled up to a wooden log to park. Yes ... I'm old and crazy! LOL Took hubby to Eureka Springs first time and we ventured over to Branson and SDC. I guess I get disappointed every time I see nostalgic attractions going commercialized. Now the only thing I miss about SDC is the fresh fried pork rinds and the ability to buy to fry at home. And I don't need the fat anyway! I'd love to go back to Eureka Springs again, though!! Walking those city streets would surely give the both of you your daily exercise! LOL

Great video. It's on our bucket list to visit. We are excited. Were leaving Monday to head north to Iowa. I'll get to visit with family for two months and then we will head south again in September. Hoping the downtown Des Moines farmer's market will be open. Have safe travels.

You were lucky to see bears! We've been there several times and only have seen them twice. Did you you get to Clingman's dome? Sometimes it's in the clouds, too thick to see anything. Thanks for sharing.
We were so glad to have been able to see them up close like that! Clingman’s Dome was closed. We seen a few people park at the bottom of the entrance where it was blocked and walk up but we passed on that. Hope to get there next time. Thanks for watching! 😊🤓

I knew about that rule of national "parks" being a no fly zone but you can fly in a national "forest" so you really got to pay attention to the boundaries in parks like that surrounded by 2 national forest

Love the Smokies. They do elk tours out of Waynesville, NC. The elk tour will also cover the history of the park.
If you go to the entrance by Cherokee real early in the morning, you usually will see elk by the visitor center.

Thank you very much! Yes, the time involved is insane. GoPro Hero7 Black, Hero8 Black and iPhone 11 Pro. The quality isn’t as good as we’d like but it will suffice until we find the right camera...as soon as someone makes it 😂🤣

We have been to many campgrounds. Pine Mountain continues to be our favorite. We were just there in May of this year! We were at all of these places in the National Park. Our 6 year old kept looking for our truck in your video to see if our paths crossed. Ha! Safe travels!

We are little more than 2 hrs from Smokys. In a way, you were lucky to visit when you did. Normally the traffic is terrible.

Hi.. That's the least amount of traffic that I have ever seen in Gatlinburg.....😲😲 EVER!! It's usually, no matter the time of year, bumper to bumper, stop and go... I grew up on the quiet side of the Smokies, my father owned our house and property that bordered the GSMNP. In fact he was born in a community on Abrams Creek, and when the Park bought everyone out, in 1936 and '37, my grandfather moved just outside it's boundaries. I still own some undeveloped property in that area, at the foot of Chilhowee Mtn...and Look Rock Fire Tower.

Always a joy to watch :). So if you didn’t have a dolly how should you tow your car? Brian and his shocked face at “nippely” llloooll. Keep it G rated people! Lol
🧡 Some vehicles can not be towed “flat tow” aka “four down” or it can cause damage...our car is one of those. That’s when you have to use a dolly. Otherwise on a few other models (like some Jeeps) you use a tow bar...like a Blue Ox or Roadmaster Tow Bar system.
G rated may be too hard to do...will PG work? 😂🤣

Pine Mountain RV Resort in Pigeon Forge is super nice, newer and a great location getting in and out! We just stayed there (1st time) and really liked it!
