Ive worked there and let me tell you they really want workers to operate very fast and also on most phones there is comunication between attractions and operators

    • @CanobieCoaster

Good to know the phones were for communicating between employees. I didn't see it as an issue since the employees were super efficient. It's a big no-no at US parks so it was different for me to see.

This park tops my bucket list and after finally visiting Cedar Point I finally understand the hype for multiple elite, quality roller coasters stacked into a park!!! When you talk of feeling like you walk into two different theme parks it reminds me of Universal, I feel like they’re the same park but they’re not (and I know this example doesn’t apply because Energylandia is one big park)

    • @CanobieCoaster

I'd say the contrast is more akin to going from the Boardwalk at Knott's to Ghost Town. Same park, but one area looks way better.

I went there last week mid october. every ride was a walkon all day long, even rides like hyperion and zadra. also i think they have improved the hyperion queue line because it took me exactly 10 minutes to get a reride. On zadra they opened up a path from the exit to the front of the line, so i was able to re ride within less than 5 minutes. sometimes i actually had to wait until at least 10 people were on the train to depart. The park is really well managed, theming is beautifull with a lot of special decoration for the halloween season. The park has kind of a weird layout with some dead ends. But i managed to speak to some construction workers working on the new area, they told me that this layout is temporary until some of the new areas are fully finished, by then the park will have a better layout and you can walk it in circles. I absolutely loved this park to a point i actually preffered to overall experience over Cedar point. Yes cedar point has better coasters but other than that energylandia does everything better. And i spoke to a lot of locals and they told me that most of the year lines do not exceed 30 minutes even for the top attractions. while in cedar point its not uncommon to find lines over 2 hours.

    Hello, Canobie!
On 4th and 5th of this month, I was able to score one of biggest points on my bucket list, actually visiting an amusement park.
It's literally thanks to you. If not for this very video, I wouldn't dare coming to amusement park in my country, expecting to see basically knockoff stuff.
The experience was amazing. Was able to ride all the best coasters multiple times (since it was off-season) - Zadra, Hyperion, Mayan, Abyssus...
I've been on basically every attraction in the park. The experience was one of a kind.
Thank you so much for this review.

The line cutting I am not used to either, and I am from the Netherlands. I found it really strange and actually very rude of the other guests to just jump in front of you. Energylandia really needs to do something about their queues and add shortcuts. They opened the fence between Zadra's exit and entrance so you could go again, which was nice. Shame that the staff really didnt seem that excited to work where they did. Stapled my gf hard twice on Zadra (we went 4 times). And Zadra's staff was quite rude overall I must say. Hyperion was alot better though, so the guys working at Zadra might just have had a bad day orso.
The locker system is not free, but it's really cheap. You have to buy a wristband for like 7PLN I believe and then you are able to use the lockers for the rest of the day.

    • @CanobieCoaster
      @CanobieCoaster  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

I found the staff at Energylandia prioritized efficiency over friendliness. Their speed would sometimes lead to them throwing the restraints down pretty aggressively, but it did keep the line moving fast. I found the staff members were helpful and friendly when you interacted with them, but they never were the ones to start a conversation.

@@CanobieCoaster I was on a very non busy day and every ride was a complete walk on, they had sometimes 5 minutes between Zadra cycles. It was kind of a shame there. The Hyperion staff that day was a lot more chill and really seemed to enjoy their job :P

I now go there each year with friends it is already kind of our tradition and I never experience much skipping in line. Sonetimes someone who is catching up to friends but not real cutting in line.
Also I did not experience rudeness from Staff and not even on Zadra which we almost cycled. Maybe that guy tlreally had a bad day.
I would also add that they have very decent souvenier shop, including some amazing statuettes.

Plus, Energylandia recently announced that they want to expand to 4x their current size by 2025, how that is supposed to work I don´t know, but at this point I wouldn´t be surprised if they add a full size 18 hole Golf Course and a multi-purpose Stadium just for shits and giggles.

The lockers are very cheap, I think it was 7 Zloty for a full-day wrist band (of course usable at all attractions), which should be roughly 2 Dollars. One thing that I found pretty annoying that you didn't mention was the constant line skipping. You talked about the broad queue lines shoving forwards, but everyone tried to get as far forward as possible, which made the queueing pretty tense and unenjoyable for us. Also, every five to ten minutes someone goes through the line to 'get to their family'. They then push through to the lockers and use the ensuing chaos there to just sneak into the line somewhere. This infuriated me more than it probably should have. But regardless, it is a great park, no doubt about that.

    • @CanobieCoaster

    - The turnstile system does not work. Especially the single rider line is pointless. Almost every train had free spots when leaving the station
    - Some longer lines were shortened around noon, even Hyperion, so you did not have to walk all the way up and down again, allthough they where still very long. Zadra had a reride door, which was open on day two
    - The number of employees that spoke english was very limited
    - I liked the park very much, although I agree that they should work on the theming. As ist was Halloween time that was covered pretty well by the sheer amount of pumpkins

maybe its because you are from us, but in some other major countries in america (the continent, because america isnt a country) outside of us and europe, if you are in a very wide line (like zadra) and you want to go fast and there is someone slow ahead of you, normally the person would let you pass through, and wouldnt think you are jumping line. so before you americans criticize the people from some other place because they are doing something that isnt normal in the US, its very good to search about it or maybe you could just ask a local.

This park is truly hideous. If i had the money to start the beginning of the park i would make it absolutly beautiful. Build a classic style wooden coaster or relocate one for esleware so the park had a historic coaster. Ide have planter boxes that followed the track hanging off the end with flowers pouring out of them. The air time finale would have a tunnel of flowers over it (probably realistic fake flowers but with real vines and leaves. Ide spray flower essenace when you go through the tunnel. Ide get the eagle park wild mouse that is sitting sbno at eagle park as its the last of its kind and is a very histoic coaster. Ide build a big timber awning over it and build the supports for the wild mouse with the same timber. Ide build rafters and beams as near miss elements like a mouse running around a attic. Ide get the original eagle park sighn and have it converted into the rides sign. All coasters would have pictures of the history of the ride model or spec sheets people riding them in the past and the story of how the ride ended up at my park. Ide list all the parks it was at previously if the info was avilable.

Simple difference in culture. Something that is outrageous to American can be acceptable for a Polish. For example I would never enter someone house with my boots on. You always taking them off at the special place near the entrance door. Plus you never keep your hat indoors. And if someone would do that i would be outrage. But i heard that both of these things are normal in US. We don't really have any problem with those quies.

That hasn't been my experience, but I guess it depends on who you talk to.
As far as the food, I haven't tried many things, but the Polish food seems to be the best bet. The fried chicken was terrible but the Espresso brownie was pretty much the best I've had anywhere.
The park may be cheap by international standards but for a lot of Polish people 149 zloty is quite expensive, and downright unaffordable for a lot of families.
Another thing, don't know if you saw but Hyperion's queue does have a lot of shortcuts that can be opened basically skipping most of the indoor section.
The long term plan I believe is to bulldoze most of the original park.

Honestly Like I said before I personally had no issues with staff myself, and they weren't even passively harsh or anything.

I should probably not say that but poland had some issues with EU standards when comes to food over the years, but most food at park was at least common quality, not epic or legendaries mind you but decent and decent portions as well.
Pricing really may be issue for some countries, I personally have decent job for the standarts of my country so I see it quite cheap compared to Germany for example.
