IS300 BUILD OFF BRO, it’s the only 2J platform most of the younger generation can afford (myself included). It could help the is300 community soooo much seeing all of your team’s insights and wisdom. Much love man
MX-5 grip/compound layout build. Its a new platform neither shop has experience with, which will ultimately even the playing field. Plenty of opportunity for parts to market for drift hq. Great chassis.
Ive said it before(i think on one of your shop streams) ill say it again get an ls2 gto with t56. First factory backed drift car that Rhys Millen became the second ever fd champ in. Im biased because my first and only car is a supercharged 05 yellow jacket even tracked down a new sap rear bumper i wanna mold in carbon.
Budget build idea: Both shops decide what vehicle to use, and then you race them time attack style on the compound race course (maybe even extend the course a bit). Both teams can do whatever they want in terms of aero, engine package and drivetrain etc. Both cars would use the same tyre to make it more equal. Then you would need a driver to compare both vehicles - someone who didn't build them. Maybe invite Misha? We all know you and DHQ are drift shops, but many of DHQ's products could be used in road racing, too. Best of luck
Literally same. Seeing a functional show car VW from the 90s to early 2000s would be dope. Make it race the CRX time. See who can look better and be faster
Build off idea here. Budget build of any platform you guys make parts for, and the car that ends up being the fastest around the compound track wins. Would be cool to add some more cars to the leaderboard!
Even a modern one stripped out would be pretty fun but a classic would be awesome. Don't think that a classic mini that isn't rusted out is going to be cheap tho
e-motion engineering did this on one of their cars named "Project Nasty" and that car is nuts and from what i know they have had no issues with the gt2rs titanium muffler.
should definitely build a drag car. its pretty much the only thing you havent really made too much content on. AND Cleetus could host you guys at the track. maybe either at the drag strip or the freedom factory, like spectator drags? depending on the track would determine the setup. i think it would really bring out the builds of each team because drag racing is 99% prep and fine tuning and 1% racing. so its more about the build than anything else and really shows whos better at setting up a car for whatever situation arises
My only concern with a drag build is $10k including buying the car won't get them much. I don't think they'd be able to make enough power for traction on a prepped surface to matter which is where the magic of setting up a drag car comes into play. I want to see Adam do more drag stuff but I want him to do it right instead of a cheap build off.
@@Joebobinatorhe already has a drag cars. It’s a more of what the use to call strip/ street car. So with about 30-40k they could go 7s. It already has a 300-400ish hp 3 rotor I think. Could be a 2 rotor.
It would be dope to see you guys do something way out of your comfort zone... like who can build the best mid 90s to early 2000s VW functional show car! So many options to pick from and would create a lot of content for you guys. If you get a GTi from the 90s, and you set from the same way that your CRX is set up, you could literally work to putting the VW as Honda war to rest for best all around car

Would also be fun to see a Matt Sorpa Tie rod spacer vs FDF ANGLE KIT. I really want to find a purpose for my s197 daily that i dont drive much and this will be my inspiration to do so.

@moderndaysaint4972 same scenario here i had a street/track car that i converted back to street after buying an M2. Really want to make the mustang a drift car
E92/e46 drift, drag, rally, compound lap comp. that way, there is an option for awd. You guys sell parts for both, and these cars allow u to keep it all under 10k...
Building more of those Legend cars for drifting would be neat idea, get a fleet of those going to you can have a class for drifting them at your events.
$5,000 budget weekend track day/time attack car. Can pick any car that drift hq has parts for. Tests can obviously be fastest time, and a reliability test based on who can get more laps in before needing to pit
Here's a build idea, cheap VAG MQB cars, GTI, A3 Quattro, Golf R, 2015-2020. Trust you can find them under 10k, then build them they can make really good power for the money and are pretty versatile. A drag race build off would be sick too, or maybe just to see what is faster at the LZ compound or the FIRM.
Do a build off for whatever car you want but it needs to be multi purpose. It will have to make a lap around your test track it will also have to drift a course and be scored on the line but also has to a good cruiser and take it to a show and have the cars be voted as to what one looks better as well
Budget build idea: Both teams build an IS250 (not IS300). The stock 4GR needs some love! Hell swap a 2GR-FE in there, throw on some turbos, and you'll get 650whp on stock internals! Second gen IS's are awesome, and a great modern platform that still has the essence of the old JZX's!
Something like a foxbody mustang would be cool. Have the 5.0 or the 2.3T options, plenty of different directions to build being drift, drag, or road racing. Cheap for parts and easily available.
E46 Sedan/Coupe show off. No S54 motors, we are talking about M54, M52 and M50 engines. Suspension parts are cheap, maintenance is cheap, potential for power is there. Cars are definitely under 10k$ and are worth. I'd like to see more E46 content as an owner of one myself. It could be built as a time attack car, drift car or show car. E46 is the perfect chassis for the show-off. WHY? You've got everything you need in it. E46 is robust and engineered really good. Suspension is really easy to fix and the powertrain is easy to handle. Preventative maintenance is recommended if you want the car to work properly. There are superchargers for these cars or you could go turbo. Top mount or Bottom mount - both can be done and also retain air conditioning lines. Do your research. The biggest problem would be the rust on these cars. Lift points are the biggest and front fenders left/right. Made from 1997 to 2001 is prefacelift and after that is facelift till 2006. DO BUY A Sport suspension car or With m package.
i really would love you guys to play around volvo and the 5 cylinders and they are fearly popural over here in Finland and like the nordics especially in the winter time

You should build an 80s Mercedes 240d or even better a 300 turbo diesel. These car are so cheap and super stylish and nobody’s really done them. They are a super famous chassis (w123) and have a huge community that would love videos on them. And it would be an opportunity to roll some coal!!
Years ago we would add 8- 14 inch collector extensions to the header. We would put a crayon line on a collector, then make a pass with the car and check the crayon mark. Where the mark discolored is where you’ cut the collector But if the tune-up is off and the engine is burning raw fuel in the collector, the crayon mark won"t work very well. . A more accurate way is real world testing. The ET and MPH of the car will tell you if the header changes you made are good or bad.
