Right? I didn't grow up with the show because I'm old as sh!t. After watching the live action I went back and watched the original. The story changes, mashing different storyline together, that didn't really bother me so much. What I wish they could have done a bit more of though, is show the silly happy kid Aang. I think if they let Gordon himself shine through more, it would feel more like Aang from the original. I obviously don't blame a child actor for this slight shortcoming, because he is just a kid taking direction from those in charge, and he did a fantastic job. I hope the creators of the show can realize how perfect this casting truly is. That kid is so Aang. They chose the perfect Aang, and didn't allow him to show as much of it as they could. I know the first season was where Aang was supposed to be the most silly and childlike, and things get progressively more serious, but I really hope they embrace the opportunity to allow this talented young actor to show Aang being the fun kid he is.
Wow I feel a lot better about this cast after hearing that they do really know the lessons we’re supposed to take away from each of their characters. I think this series is going to be a lot of fun.
a lot of interviews with the cast were all about fight scenes, costumes, and special effects but I like this interviewer touching on the emotional side of things. I think Gordon's experiencing loss already at such a young age makes him realize how devastating it is to be Aang losing his whole nation, his own people, and especially Gyatso.
2:24 I love having flashbacks in tv shows or movies. There very important key parts of telling a person story. So I can't wait to see those in the live-action show.
Gordon thinking about his pet hamster passing to get through the sad scenes is so Aang-coded 😢

First time I've seen a Gaang interview without Sokka (Ian)
If there’s no Sokka, there’s no Gaang😔

So we have kataras flashbacks on this season

Kiawentiio really does have Katara's energy... Even her self-conscious side lol
I feel like she’s being super careful what she says because of some backlash over comments she made about Sokkas sexism
what did she say @@FridaysMusic
@@31saba31 she said the comment about sokkas sexism being taken out because some things were “iffy”
3:56 aaaaawwwwwweee 😢🥺🥹

Aww, where'd Ian go for this one? I notice he's mentioned in the description. Still a fun interview.
