Agreed, as a drummer who's been playing for 36 years it only took me 6 hours a week for 4 years to learn how to play it lol , once learned though it's in the muscle memory and it's great to be able to play it and confuse the crap out of some band members.
As a bedroom guitarist, it took me around 2 months of daily practice to get it at an acceptable level, but most of it was "conditioning" my wrist and learning economy of motion. I cannot imagine playing this in a live setting, along with 10 other demanding songs though. Also, that part at 2:45 and 6:06, I always had to look at the tabs while playing it, never managed to memorize it
@eeveewonder as long as you enjoyed, brother!!! My ears are still ringing. Meh, tenitus from the Marines haha. Hearing is fucked. Bleed was on my bucket list... check!
Not sure if they use Fractals or something but if they're playing along to any kind of click it makes the lights pretty easy to preprogram, I know that's what Megadeth do
@@_ProTraxIt is programmed now, but he used to do it manually. So in theory if something were to go wrong he could probably fill in manually at any point
@@mountainstream1322 I saw an interview with Jens where he says that he has no idea what he is doing with his vocals lol. Guess he has just found something that works for him.
Such a killer band . The lights are amazing too. I should've caught this show . These guys were way ahead of thier time. They might be some enlightened beings.
Holy fucking shit ! I hope so much they will play it in March in Europe... By the way! Nice to have a view on Dick Lövgren. Such a great bass player. What he is doing is so fucking amazing 🤘
@@shredhead21yeah they tend to drop it a lot of late- might be to protect Tomas, he's said in interviews playing this every night on tour really takes it out of him more than any other of their songs
They absolutely killed on every song that night! I tbink theh sounded even better than last year! Great recording. I got a video of the solo section, but didnt record the whole song. I didn't hear correctly until the next evening!!
@eeveewonder I think they just had to finish the last legs of TVSOR with Nielsson. He came back to lay down some riffs for Immutable and has been touring with them since it's release. He was with them last year when I saw them in Columbus.
Dick has an incredible attack, even better than Marten and Frederick which allows him to chill and relax while the others are 100% concentrated and in full stamina conservation mode. That song will ruin your wrist lol
This song is surprisingly easy to play. It only takes about 10 reincarnations
So true! 😅😅
hahahah

1:21 - dudes crowd vocals were absolutely on point
There's something extremely wholesome AND metal about a guy joyfully screaming "the regurgitation of my micro nemesis"
Their lighting guy is legit part of the band. You seen that dude do this shit live? Unreal
It's programmed now, but yeah back in the day it used to be insane how he'd match it.
I think he was/is the drummers brother

Damn the audio is really good on this!!
Their sound engineer needs a raise!!! It sounded amazing in person.

check channel Edvard Hansson, he is the lightning guy of shuggah and also cousin of Haake
This is the best heavy metal groove band of all time!
Best concert I've ever been to. It's amazing how good Jens sounds at his age. He honestly sounds better now than at any other point in their career
Agree. Quite astonishing really. He must have a good voice coach/developed an "economic " technique. To do this night after night... Quite impressing.

This show let me complete a bucket list item…see Meshuggah live while on acid lmao
I felt the spirit
@@eeveewonder wow bet that was a trip . It's pretty wild there's so many things that aren't what they seem on the surface.

Oh they’ll play it. I’m pretty sure that’s a permanent song on their set list
@shredhead21 they dropped it during the previous tour
@dmytrotsvyntarnyi799 really? That’s surprising

That guy really was vibing to the whole song. I probably would too lol 😅
Show was f’n awesome! I was lucky enough to catch Tomas’s signed drum head at the end!
Sounds killer I was at the Seattle show still buzzing.:)
I was there too front right. Fucking killer show
I was there too with a friend of mine. Best show of 2023 for me!

Absolutely freaking incredible!!
blessed. through the Bleed by Meshuggah :D nectar, just nectar
I was in front of Fredrik at this show! Amazing performance and Setlist!
Will see them in Munich in March. Hoping so much that they will also play it there. It isn't mentioned in their official set list...
6:15 it's the dude from the music video, come back to see the show
i wonder how the isolated bass for this live sounds like...
Security choose the right gig😂..they are all banging

I hope they bring back combustion next yr

Anyone know what Bass Dick uses? Never seen an explorer shape with that type of headstock.
It’s a stock Warwick Stryker. One of the coolest metal basses around, unfortunately discontinued, since Gibson said no.
