Finding your channel is such a blessing. Literally was in the process of searching how to get a job in Vancouver as an international student. Thanks for all your help and info. It is genuinely appreciated for students like myself who want to move, but have zero idea how to!!!
Quebec just announced $3,000 CAD/year tuition for international students (starting in Sept 2023) with a catch. Study in French and in an institution outside of greater Montreal area. Applicable fields are: information technology; engineering; healthcare; social services; education; or early childhood education.
Hello Ms. Rachel. I really love your input and magagamit talaga pagiging matipid but in terms of food kaya naman magluto sa bahay para mas less. Excited na ako!!!😍🇨🇦
heyy! I have a few questions..maybe you can make a video to answer them 1. Do Canadian schools offer on campus accommodation? I realize you spoke a lot about renting and shared accommodation. 2. What are the scholarships like? And do they cater to international students?
Your content just keeps getting better and better, Rachel!🚀 Another great way to save money is to cook your meals and make your own coffee at home. Fast food like Tim Horton's might seem affordable, but order from them everyday and the costs would pile up.
I'm losing hope. $67k CAD is not feasible. :( I guess I'll have to look for other countries. This is making me extremely sad, I want to leave in Canada but its not possible. Never in a million years.
You can def get away with less but my main point is to have more. Having room for Allowances helps us prepare for unexpected costs ☺️ I don’t mean to be a Debbie downer, sorry about that! 🥺
Immigration to Canada is a bit difficult to undertake mostly application visa, the best way to secure Canada visa is to look for a transparent authorized Immigration consultant, Mr Jared William assisted me. I successfully migrated to Canada in 2021, I give All the glory to almighty God .

I am an International student and I graduated in 2020, so I'm afraid I won't be accepted into any scholarship. I don't know how I can be accepted with a Scholarship, and I don't have money enough to go in without a Scholarship. Can you help me with that??? "You must have graduated from high school no earlier than one year prior to the academic year you are applying to. For example, applicants for 2023 must have graduated from high school no earlier than 2022."
You need savings, financials are a big part of the criteria to get the student permit. I just want everyone to have real expectations, you won't be able to get to Canada if you don't have a big chunk of savings money.
Hi Rachel, I've been watching your videos for a month now and your inputs are very helpful. I just wanted to know if an aspiring student will stay with his/her relatives, should he/she ask for a letter from the relative. Should they provide still the proof of funds? any tips for this? Thank you. :)
1. As an aspiring student like you, you don't need to stay with a relative in Canada. You survive on your own. It is better if you have a family member or a friend in CA that is willing to provide you a shelter and it is a HUGE SAVING from the monthly expenses. And no, you don't need letter from your relative. Unless you're a minor/underage. That's a different thing. 2. Yes, you SHOULD provide proof of funds for at least CAD10,000.00 (Php 432,777.55, in $1:43.28 exchange rate). Since Canada is the best country we can think of, they've been very considerate. If you don't have such amount in your account, you can ask for your relatives/friends for their bank statements (multiple bank statement works) that can support the PoF. Just take note that they don't accept collaterals (cars, home titles, jewelries, etc). Tips: 1. If you study for a year, you will be granted with a Post Graduate Work Permit for 1 year only. Check Rachel's video on how she got her Permanent Residence, she struggeld when she was so close to going back to Philippines because she took a 1 year program. Luckily, she managed to have a PR with a 1 year PGWP, it is possible but very risky. If 2 years program, then they will provide you up to 3 years PGWP. 3 years is the maximum PGWP duration. So I suggest you to take a 2 years and up programs. 2. Make sure that the program you will take as a foreign student relates to what you finished studying here in the Philippines. For example, you finished with a degree in Business Admin, then you should pursue a program like Business Management, etc program that is under Business Admin. UNLESS, you want to take a whole new degree like from BA to Engineering, yes you may, but it will be difficult for you to make your study plan and defend your reasoning.
New viewer here. I'm only 23 years old but I really want to study, work and live also in Canada. I've been hoping Philiphines might have a programs that might help me study or have any access with Canada. I just want to improve myself as an Architect student or might try to study Nursing for some reasons and I know Canada is the best place for that Dream.
Hi Rachel, I've been watching your content for a couple of months now and I have to say I'm thankful I stumbled upon your channel. I'm an aspiring international student from the Philippines, this video was an eye opener for me in regards to the expenses that I need to anticipate. If I may ask, do you think that if I were to apply and (hopefully) be accepted in a school in Vancouver, having my wife with me with an OWP will be enough for us to get by with the expenses?
Hi Sir Shaun! Aside from Rachel's channel, this video might help.. they also went to Canada as partners. The husband was studying while his wife works. The video has a complete breakdown of their monthly expense. :) th-cam.com/video/nMkObOM-QfA/w-d-xo.html

hi rr, been watching your videos lately. can you do some guides on how to file your income taxes as an intl student working pt in canada. would also like to know more about the housing and public transport like ubus? thanks 🙏🏼
yes, this is true then 67000 CAD then multiply this by 4 since its 4 years. Parents should really be able to support their children who wish to study in Canada Uni. If theres not enough money, don't go.
Hi Rach, hope ur doing fine. I'm still waiting for your new upload. I hope you can feature in your vlog if Int'l students can or are allowed to put up business like an online e-commerce store (like Lazada in PH, not sure what's in Canada) Stay safe. Thank you.
Replying in case its possible. But i've found that it usually cant be done without money unless you qualify for express entry and can get an employer to hire you before coming but you have to have a specific, in demand skill. It amazes me when people say foreigners mooch off the system when they have more struggles than the average citizen. The only way you could decrease tuition would be to apply for as many student grants, and other financial aid and bursaries locally or see if there are schools that might be willing to cover a portion of fees. But for the majority of cases it is an out of pocket expense (with the exception of loans) and a lot of people have friends or relatives that assist them while they live there. I dont think its impossible but it takes a while and its good to have at least $15-$20k cad to start and work so you can at least stay afloat during your period of study. Pick programs that offer work pathways so employment is likely upon graduation and you will be able to earn your money back for your studies within the first year. Most people do a lot of planning beforehand and get some kind of experience/education in their home country first. Money is the biggest factor. Best of luck

@@smwk2017 thank you! One more question, in community college are certificates, diploma, advanced diploma, post grad diploma and associate degree several options I can apply for? Do I have to finish one after another or Can I choose whatever I want if I only finished High school?

Secondly can you make a video on how to use your admission or acceptance letter to apply for scholarship Thirdly, can you apply for more than three scholarships to cover all your tuition and accommodation since international students often pay more tuition than domestic students
Hi Rachel, thanks for creating helpful videos, this will really help me with my goal. Just want to check if you've encountered the school named TSOM (Toronto School of Management) - they are a DLI but they don't offer PGWP and their tuition is very affordable, hoping you could also include or feature this school. Thanks!!! 🙏🙏🙏
TSOM is a private post-secondary institution, and private ones don't offer a PGWP. Go for public-funded institutions and check your preferred program if eligible po for PGWP.
thank you so much for your video . Could you please answer this question: me and my spouse have done our credential evaluation assessment by Wes in 2020, and it has 5 year of expiry, Now I have decided to go to study in Canada , Can our CEA done by Wes be an obstacle for obtaining study visa for me and visitor visa for my spouse..? Thank you in advance..)
Thank you so much ms. Rachel for this wonderful opportunity video's. Kindly please if you can help and tell me. If can i extend my 1 year post-graduate program for 2 years and get a 3 years pgwp? Thank you so much
good day Rachel, I hope you are doing good. I have 2 questions, they also are consder by other audince members of you. well, firstly, after getting my bachelor in home country(outside canada) can I go into college for 2 years diploma programs which compeletly other field and second: can international students do freelancing without any restriction, I mean, will it out working limit in 20hous /per week ? Many thanks
Hey Rachael I am 20 year boy from nepal I am thinking to study in canada , I was on dilemma how am I gonna tackle all things , but seeing your video gives me hope to tackle thanks 😊😊
Hi rachel need your advice, I enrolled to a private school in canada, I’ll do research and I also reach out the school itself, that they offered PGWP after completion of my studies, I’m taking BAM (Bachelor of Arts in Management) for 2 years, do I receive same benefits if I enrolled in a public funded school? i mean when it come work offered while studying I’m and owp to my partner? Thank you so much rachel. One of your fan here in the Philippines I always watch your vlog
Hi Rachel! Thank you for this very informative video. Anyways you forgot to include about the show money. Can I ask if show money is still necessary if you are sponsored to study in canada by a canadian citizen?
Only your direct family members/close relatives can sponsor your studies in Canada as per IRCC policies, and you always have to have a show money for the cost of living (aside from you TF) to satisfy the immigration officer that you have access to funds of your sponsors and/or that you can provide for your needs once you get there. However, you Canadian citizen can't sponsor you unless he is your husband(?), or you have a sponsoring-body/organization that will finance you (it depends but most likely, if an organization granted you a scholarship, they only cover a part of your TF). Check the IRCC Official page for more info.
Can you apply for PGWP after doing finance masters in UBC ? If i meet the requirements do i have anything to worry about ..excuse my anxiety. Also thanks for the cost breakdown i did my own and i still didn’t start my journey it was very close to your costs which made me feel i am on the right track
Oh it varies per visa you applied for and it differs from person to person 😅 can’t give you a direct answer on that but in my case, I waited 6 months for my biometrics when I applied for EE
There are 3 tiers of tuition. Local residents pay the lowest tuition because their tuition is subsidized by the province; then out of province residents; the highest tuition is from international students which can be 5x what the local are paying.
Nice and informative video as always but Rachel I have a question, the annual fee for the undergraduate studies is 33,000 CAD for the entire 4 years of studies or 33,000 CAD per year? And I’m sorry I didn’t get it.
Hi!! Been binge watching your vlogs until now, almost 4am here in ph 😂 i got so many ideas and knowledge because of your videos! I was also inspired to study and eventually live there 🥺 buttttt i am scared, as in! I was looking for vlogs about international student living and studying ALONE and I haven't found one 🥺 I just saw from one of your video that you are living in canada with your partner? Right? As someone who wants to study and live in Canada without any relatives, is it possible??? Will I survive? I want to hear successful stories in the said situation huhu i need inspiration 🥺
It is possible to study in Canada without any relative (you even have to consider it as an advantage). If you have a number of relatives/family members in Canada, the immigration officer might consider that as ground for refusal of your study permit since you are a highly potential immigrant. When it comes to sponsorship, your family in the Ph can sponsor you provided that they have enough funds - for the cost of living for one year (10K CAD) + you TF.
Haii madam .I got my study permit for countieing care assistant course one year in Saskatchewan polytechnic prince Albert. It was January intake but I got visa late so I defferd it to September intake. Now I am scared to get pr within 2 year
Hello ate how about requirements for high school students studying there in canada my aunt will sponsor me to be a permanent residence and to study high school in Canada ^^
In today’s economy, you may find yourself scratching by the bare minimum :( even with an OK salary, it’s kinda tough. I just wouldn’t want you to live like that, as it’s already tough adjusting to life abroad…
@@rrdancel dont you think it’s worth it though? i know that pathway to permanent residency is no joke, but back home in third world country isnt really all that great either. i used to be a retail supervisor in a major furniture brand in my country, sure the pay was relatively high for my country’s standard, but you understand how unfairly the currency conversion rate works right? you work so hard in your home country, put up with senior people in the workforce that work with outdated ways, and put up with their bullshit only to earn money that has very weak purchasing power abroad. I’m kinda disillusioned with this. in 1960s, indonesian rupiah trades for about 300 rupiah per us dollar, now its 15.000, within the same periode, singapore dollar grew from 3 SGD per US dollar to 1.3 SGD per US Dollar. I’m not exactly an advocate for institutional learning, i gain most of my knowledge from youtube. in this day and age, internet has the potential to render conventional educational institutions pointless. but its the only real way to immigrate to first word countries legally. I dont know if you’ll agree with me, but since youre filipino, i assume you must not be very happy with the situation with rodrigo and bong bong either.

I'm planning to come to Canada but not now ( Let's say before 2025) for now am still studying a degree in my home country. But I love and watch all your vlogs just to have an update of what is going in the education and immigration field in Canada. Thank you.
hello im incoming college student and im planning to study in canada. I was wondering if work permits are still needed if you're a freelancer or working online? Thank you.
Do not go to major cities such as Toronto and Vancouver if you want to save money. Search cheaper schools in Manitoba, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, and PEI.
Hey thanks for your tips. But i have some questions to ask. i currently am a student in a school in my community and i’ll get my B.sc later this year. You said you studied a graphic design which wasn’t your Bachelors course. so i want to do same too. but what i don’t know is, how will i write my Statement of purpose letter to be concrete enough for the visa officer to accept. Please do a video as regarding this if possible. And another thing is, can i pay my tuition fee in installment? Like What if i dont have the complete money, can i pay if i have only the first year school fees, or only the first term school fees? And can fees like health and dental fee be ignored first? if so, please reply. i’ll be waiting for your response. Thanks.
*If you want to study a progran in Canada that is not aligned to your previously earned degree, you can use you experience (related to your preferred program) instead, or say if you have a family busines and that inspires you to shift career and that you want to manage it in the future. *With regards to your TF in applying for study permit, you are not required to show the full payment of your TF, but you have to show enough funds (can either be yours, your sponsors-family members/relatives) that you can access upon the start of your studies. *You can opt-out for medical/dental fees of your school if you already have an insurance
Hi my name is Mohammed I want to come and Study In Canada but iam worry about if I pay the tuition fee and get refused Visa How can I get back my money or Refund my tuition fee
Visit the official page of your preferred DLI and look for your program of interest. You can see if it's being offered to international.student and likewise will have an idea of how much it costs for IS
It is hard to say. Some Master and PhD students work for their professors and get their tuition waived and sometimes even getting small amount of wages.

Can make a video on culinary college and program
Secondly can you make a video on how to use your admission or acceptance letter to apply for scholarship
Thirdly, can you apply for more than three scholarships to cover all your tuition and accommodation since international students often pay more tuition than domestic students
Could you please answer this question: me and my spouse have done our credential evaluation assessment by Wes in 2020, and it has 5 year of expiry,
Now I have decided to go to study in Canada ,
Can our CEA done by Wes be an obstacle for obtaining study visa for me and visitor visa for my spouse..?
Thank you in advance..)
Love the video. Is university of Canada west good?
Thanks!
They are good. The international well known ones are University of British Columbia (UBC) and University of Alberta.

good day Rachel, I hope you are doing good.
One of your fan here in the Philippines
I always watch your vlog
How long does it take to get a response after biometrics? It's been almost two months since I've given my biometrics. Didn't get any response yet.
Oh it varies per visa you applied for and it differs from person to person 😅 can’t give you a direct answer on that but in my case, I waited 6 months for my biometrics when I applied for EE
Hi..how much do I need to prepare when moving to Canada
Hey Racheal, can you please make a video on BC Tech PNP ?
Hi Rachel! The tuition of international student is different from who's college grad and under grad?
There are 3 tiers of tuition. Local residents pay the lowest tuition because their tuition is subsidized by the province; then out of province residents; the highest tuition is from international students which can be 5x what the local are paying.
Nice and informative video as always but Rachel I have a question, the annual fee for the undergraduate studies is 33,000 CAD for the entire 4 years of studies or 33,000 CAD per year? And I’m sorry I didn’t get it.
1 Year Straight
@@alternatevein3375 damn that's a lot
@@jolinadorego2825 eligible po ba sa student permit if ang sponsor is dad ng bf? Not relative or family member at all.
Hi, Rachel. What if yung course na eenrol ko sana is waitlisted na?
Haii madam .I got my study permit for countieing care assistant course one year in Saskatchewan polytechnic prince Albert. It was January intake but I got visa late so I defferd it to September intake. Now I am scared to get pr within 2 year
Hello ate how about requirements for high school students studying there in canada my aunt will sponsor me to be a permanent residence and to study high school in Canada ^^
dude, initial cost aside, can you start financing yourself with your own salaries once you land in CA?
@@rrdancel uh, can I reframe my question? How about if my parents covered my tuition fee for me? Would I be able to make ends meet that way?
Hello Ms RR meron kba platform for advise? I just need advise now Im here in NB as international student and my husband as owp. Please help me thank you!
Hello, I'm currently studying Hospitality Management here in the Philippines. Can I apply at Acsenda even though I've started studying?
Hii
Could you possibly answer my question, pls?🥺
If I've got PGWP after Diploma from a college and I transferred to another university for bachelor, is there any chance to get the work permit after Bachelor?
I'm planning to come to Canada but not now ( Let's say before 2025) for now am still studying a degree in my home country. But I love and watch all your vlogs just to have an update of what is going in the education and immigration field in Canada. Thank you.
Thank you
Thank you for watching!! 💚😊

hello im incoming college student and im planning to study in canada. I was wondering if work permits are still needed if you're a freelancer or working online? Thank you.
Same question, what about selling stuff there 🤔
OMG! i wanna crrrrrrrryyyyy 😭😭😭😭
👍👍👍
I also applied for Masters at UVIC

Hi my name is Mohammed I want to come and Study In Canada but iam worry about if I pay the tuition fee and get refused Visa How can I get back my money or Refund my tuition fee
Communicate with your college if you want a refund of yout TF
Great video! It would be a dream to make a video on student housing or housing for options for international students
I would so love that too! It’s very intriguing to see the accommodations here for students and hopefully I can connect with one in the future 🥰
Hi! Would you know how much will the tuition fee cost for PhD or doctoral course?
Visit the official page of your preferred DLI and look for your program of interest. You can see if it's being offered to international.student and likewise will have an idea of how much it costs for IS
It is hard to say. Some Master and PhD students work for their professors and get their tuition waived and sometimes even getting small amount of wages.
One question, working up to 20 hours is enough to cover the expenses in Vancouver?
To be honest, it’s not sufficient if that’s your primary source for support.
Hi Rachel, I love you.
Hi Chris, I love you too.
