Here in the UK I had 3 of these one after the other . They are so underated . An excellent car that was totally reliable . Far better than most of the small cars of that era . Lovely to see one again ...
What a little beauty. Mrs Nash must have been so proud of it in 1955, can you imagine? I love the shape of these cars. Standards of the 1950s all had interesting styling and they were very solid cars. Thanks for the video.
Great story, looks a good job. One small point, the top hose is supposed to be a convoluted hose otherwise the top outlet of the radiator will keep coming loose from the radiator due to the normal rocking motion of the engine. Have a look on the net for pictures of Standard 8 / 10 / Pennant top hose.
We had one in our family, when I was growing up.Very respectable looking cars, and despite not being either expensive, or made by robots, were really reliable! So much so, that they would even come SECOND in rallies! Because they never broke down, and lasted the whole course, rather than being fast! So it was nice to see this video!
Very enjoyable! In the 1960's our family (from England) had one of these, and we travelled ( slowly!) all the way to see our relatives in Switzerland! Didn't let us down - these cars, believe it or not - were actually good in RALLIES! Perhaps because they completed the course, and didn't real down!
Any experts here? I had a 10 with two small round lights on each side at the front. I cant for the life of me see any other car with indicator and side lights. They all have just one small round white light on either side. Was this an option or a modification someone made. Always looked factory to me. Anyone know???
good afternoon Ben. I want to ask you a favor. If you can tell me where I can order parts for my 1958 triumph tr10 car. please and thank you for your videos
I want my kids to enjoy the car and while there is no legal need to add seatbelts for adults there is if you want to carry kids. Also why wouldn’t I want the car to be as safe as it reasonably could be for myself and my wife
@1unsung when you were commenting on whether to fit seatbelts, to protect the wife and kids, saying "You hardly notice them". That does actually beg the question, of whether you meant you hardly notice "them". Does that mean the seatbelts - or indeed the wife and kids!

My old fella had one of these but it had the standrive two pedal transmission with the button on top of the gear lever that operated the clutch.
