Personally I consider hula hooping, book reading, and bunny petting as more "harmless activities" than base jumping, plane gear stow aways, or bungee jumping.
Aw hell... Audrey Mestre's death always makes me sad. Her husband was never charged, but he absolutely is responsible for killing her. The relationship was toxic and she was leaving him. At best, he was trying to set up an accident so he could play the great savior in order to get her to come back. At worst, he was punishing her for the grave sin of leaving him. She was everything he wanted to be, and it infuriated him. There's a documentary that outlines just how tragic and preventable it was. Really just heartbreaking.
Exactly! Wouldn't catch me doing any of them, you never know because you can do everything right then the grim reaper comes and messes with the caribina....nope! Final destination vibes!
@@key2dastreetstv He probably thought the pilot would regain control quickly, even if they went over what to do it might've been very briefly, so when the loss of control actually happened he was probably... for lack of a better term, dumbstruck. Froze for just enough time so that when he gathered himself and let go, his parachute was useless. Maybe the way the plane was falling he thought he would hit the plane and he was waiting for the plane to be in the right position so he wouldn't slam into it. Whatever the case, the stunt, if done correctly, would still have been very dangerous to his life. Imo, a risk that was already too much had it gone okay.
I'm no diving pro, but I've done a 50 ft dive, entered straight and it still hurt the crown of my skull. I was ok, but the higher you get the harder the water gets...
@momsmushroomsjodyfoster5786 i always figured its also for trajectory, but yeah I imagine it's to ripple the water and yes soften the blow. That's why professional Olympic style dive pools always have that jet spray disturbing the surface.
@momsmushro 2:18 omsjodyfoster5786 It softens nothing. It's just done to see the water surface before you dive in, to tense all your muscles to a maximum at the right moment.
1:05:23 Worst idea. The river is dangerous even with life-jackets. The river is full of fallen trees, so many boats and house boats get destroyed every year. (For the unaware, jumping/falling in and getting tangled in tree roots and branches, will pull your life-jacket over head and it's game over from there) The river is dirt brown 100% of the time, so much sediment and debris gets washed down stream you can't even see your hand an inch into the water.
@marcweidler3260 I mean the title says "Supposed harmless activities". It's definitely debatable that activities that involve falling/jumping from a substantial height are "Supposed harmless" to begin with. These stories seem to be more like "When dangerous activities with high of risk of death or injury unsurprisingly go wrong" 🤷♀️
They need to stop calling emergency services for idiots. They intentionally put their lives in jeopardy for a thrill. It ties up emergency workers from legitimate calls, putting others in jeopardy.
I've never seen a video on youtube with someone i know, Amber Bellows was one of my wifes best friends, Two weeks before she died, her and her husband base jumped out of their hotel room in Las Vegas right after getting married, a year later her husband died in a paragliding(I believe) accident.

Hay they will kill you it been a long time since I actually watched one of ur videos but am back and it feels good thank you keep up the good work ❤😊 👍👆
I hope no one donates to that fundraiser because $10 million dollars means that they are only trying to get rich off of his death. If his music was that good, they wouldn’t need a bunch of money to make it popular. If it’s good, just upload it online and it will go viral. It’s ridiculous to think they would use it just to market his music. That’s absolute bs, and anyone who believes that is a fool.
I feel so bad for the families of those who died. When people die from irresponsible or dangerous situations they put themselves in though, I can't help but feel frustrated. It doesn't seem right to blame those who died, but still... The selfie deaths for example, or other needlessly reckless behaviour. Such a senseless loss of life over something so insignificant or otherwise avoidable. Their families suffer such grief, when they really shouldn't have to. It's incredibly sad. I would be utterly devastated if it were a loved one of mine. They'd have to balance their grief, with completely normal feelings of anger towards those who died due to their own behaviour, quite likely. It would make things so much worse, you'd want to just miss and love the one you lost. But you'd end up just wondering "why, did they do something so stupid?" It must be a very hard process.
Holiday World is one of my favorite places to go! It’s basically the Midwest Disney. I also know that your body can take a lot. She had have had undiagnosed underlying condition.

1:20 this story kind of sounds similar to my mom's. We were on a Tarzan swing six stories in the air, I jumped, then she did, and it didn't catch her. She ended up falling the full six stories without anything to break her call. Somehow, she miraculously survived with two broken legs, and several broken vertebrae
Thats so sad ,He jumped in to save her and died also .You would think landing in water would be alright but all that gear and thr parachute will pulll you down fast .
2:10 "connection compromised prior or during freefall" ??? Prior if at all. Safeties aren't a suggestion, they take time to put on (secure) and time to take off Longer than the time one has during freefall
Not trying to victim blame but bungee jumping, cage diving, paragliding aren't very 'supposed harmless'. Sitting on a couch reading a book is harmless. People doing these activities should know the risks, even of freak accidents. Maybe you meant 'supposed safe'? Also stop toying with sharks please. They're not some mechanized Disney ride for y'all's entertainment, they're wild animals.
Yep Total height 70ft, freefall before bungee cord snags 20ft Take a tennis ball and bottle of soda (20ft), drop the ball and open the soda, see who's first Safety wasn't really on the menu

Period!
or just listen to the radio
You've obviously never seen the "bunny" in "Monty Python and the Holy Grail." 😀
Be careful, bunnies can be vicious.
I once broke my back hula-hooping and you obviously havnt met my Rabbit! He's a savage. Pet it at your own peril. 🙂👍
I’m kinda glad I’m too old for that shit now, rather listen about how other people ruin their lives from my couch ❤
I've never been young or dumb enough for that crap.

Does anyone really consider wingsuit flying, base jumping and cliff jumping as "supposed harmless activities"?
Nope 🙅♀️
Exactly! Wouldn't catch me doing any of them, you never know because you can do everything right then the grim reaper comes and messes with the caribina....nope! Final destination vibes!
Lol seems not harmful at all 😅
In the case of Jon James its simply a case of play stupid games then win stupid prizes
I don't understand why he held on so long with a parachute
Not to mention the wife setting up a $10 million GoFund Me
