This is almost a caricature of stereotypes in the 70s! And it is awesome! The feathered hair, the burnt umber polyester leisure suit with the big collar!
She has a great voice.... Believe me, I have spent my life absorbing everything pop music... I have heard even the most obscure songs and she really had a great voice.
Her manager Jana and Jose Feliciano were in the next studio at Wally Heiders Hollywood when I was there doing a session about 5 years after this. They were holed up in there doing coke and ordering pizza for 3-4 days.
After all these years, I had no idea that the Laverne & Shirley theme song was an actual hit single. She might not have any other hits but that is one classic tv theme song.
Yes it is rude your recording her speaking and then you know she’s about to sing you stopped recording that’s rude don’t post things if your not interested in showing everything
@@bryancook6345the person who recorded this is rude I wouldn’t be surprised if he or she recorded the entire video just didn’t want to share the entire video
In network television things had to be timed to the second, and by muting her mic Dick Clark had the only live one and so was completely in charge of the interview, controlling question and answer lengths while taking cues from the floor manager to finish at exactly the right time.
Her hit was one of the best sitcom songs of all time...I can't think of a better one... The worst sitcom song was Gladys Night singing the short lived Charlie & Co song which sounded like a funeral song... Dick was always boring as hell...
Cindy Williams (Shirley Feeney...) died on Wednesday 26 January 23... it was just announced today, Tuesday 31 January 23... wondering whatever became of Cyndi Grecco, she seems to have fallen off the map by the mid 1980's... guess she decided on a private life... good for her! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laverne_%26_Shirley
She was adorable. 😊
Another great TV show in the 1970s. Boy Cyndi was very, very cute. Transport me back to the 70s.
Such fun times.
I wish more interviews/clips with her were available. She's cute as a button.
She should have tried acting...
Truth!
@@dquinn8344 truth!
Just a lovely lady,
I might have picked a bad time to be in love or a good time
Her smile is infectious!
Such a beautiful lady
"Making Our Dreams Come True" was her one hit single.
Great TV show. I was in the United States Marine Corps when "Laverne and Shirley" plus "Happy Days" was on TV. Loved TV shows from the 70s. Semper Fi

Bring it ALL back, man! 😄
I remember this episode! Boy I am old
She was cute but would have looked better in more fem clothes...
Wow, I love how he asks about the _songwriters_ of each song! How often do you see that these days?
I wish I could find the entire episode!
I don't know what Cyndi looks like now but she was very cute back then and the perfect voice for L & S theme.
She has a great voice.... Believe me, I have spent my life absorbing everything pop music... I have heard even the most obscure songs and she really had a great voice.
She also sang the theme tune to another Paramount series: "I Want It All," from _Blansky's Beauties_ (a short-lived 1977 series).

is there footage of her singing laverne and shirley theme?
We really miss you Cyndi!
I had a pantsuit just like that in the 70's, same color.
I just wish I could watch her singing the song that was rude stopping at where she was about to sing
Rude 😂😂😂
The performances are blocked based on copyright claims and therefore can’t be included without the YT channel risking strikes.

Man I Miss The 70s
Dick Clark and Casey Caseem , immortality!!!!
Fact: Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley, Mork & Mindy, Angie and Full House were the only sitcoms from Miller-Boyett to hit the Nielsen Ratings Top 10
Her hair is SO David Cassidy!
And we'll do it our way Yes our way Make all our dreams come true for me and you

Do you have more from this show?
She said she started singing in a pizza place. Did anyone else wonder if it was The Pizza Bowl?😂😅
How come she is not using her own mic for the interview.
In network television things had to be timed to the second, and by muting her mic Dick Clark had the only live one and so was completely in charge of the interview, controlling question and answer lengths while taking cues from the floor manager to finish at exactly the right time.

She looks part of the Osmond family
Edward Bliss Yes, she looks like Jimmy Osmond.

What song did she sing before this interview?
aallpp55 making our dreams come true. Bandstand blocked all previous videos uploaded of artists performing. Sucks
Qsi Consulting Thanks for this info. I have never watch the performances of that song before.
