I dunno about you guys, but... I'm absolutely LOVING how the devs are getting closer and closer to the community everyday with things like this or the recent Dev Hang, gotta give them some props for that.

Last straw for me was the mercy, people complaining about res and dmg boost UNIVERSALLY, and they instead changed everything else… then there was sojourn, tank issues, support issues… dps is just wildly unchanged from 2 tank era… ya i dunno. Seems like the path of all their other dead games, adding wild dps with crazy mobility and damage… i hope not. They have a serious issue of loving to tell us what we like, instead of what we actually are saying we like. The “dont you have phones” complex.
@@hoebloify yes, they have. in fact they've been super open about the process and gone on livestreams with players and streamers to talk about it. just changing numbers like cooldown times and healing can be done fast (now that they've fixed their hotfix tools which they admitted weren't working at the start of OW2) but reworks have to be planned months in advance. reworking a hero or giving them a new ability takes coordination between many teams, lots of testing, and going through certification for consoles. and dude just because the community has latched onto streamer's opinions on Mercy doesn't mean they have to immediately do what the community suddenly wants. no one was even talking about it until Sojourn started dominating. reworking damage boost or giving Mercy new abilities will take months, and if they just change the numbers Mercy will be straight up useless until then. I'm not here to be Blizzard's defense force, but you have to realize that working for a AAA company is not as simple as just going on twitter and changing the game based on the most upvoted comments. I think they've shown thus far a willingness to listen, communicate directly, and implement changes much faster than ever was done in the Kaplan era.
Looking at the thumbnail, I realized that if there was just one more one punch man colab skin for another support, it would have been possible to have a full one punch man team. and that would be AWESOME.

A GM teaching the very people who helped create the game, how to play the game they made 🤣🤣🤣 it's almost like a motocross bike racer trying to teach Harley-Davidson how to ride a bike. (There's obviously a skill difference not all developers play the game. I'm aware of that)
interesting fact: harley and davidson are last names of the co-founders of the company: the brothers Walter and Arthur Davidson, their father William Davidson and William S. Harley. There is a nice docudrama about their story called Harley and the Davidsons.

I really appreciate this recent trend of content creators interacting with the devs. I think both parties are doing AMAZING jobs in communicating with one another and also taking feedbacks. This reminds me of that legendary anecdote of Seagull 1v5ing a group of devs. While that's fun and all, I think this kind of event just really uplifts the positivity in the community as a whole. Right? Like take the bronze/GM concept, and turn it into a community learning tool. "Top 500 Tanks Coach Bronze Teams In Best Of Three!!!" Could even put a role-mirror GM on each team for moral and directional support, callouts (so the bronzes can experience it in real time), etc etc. That'd be the type of stuff that could level up the entire community as a whole.

I mean did you watch their gameplay LOL? They clearly don't play the game That being said, them just being devs doesn't mean they do the balancing of their game. These developers could be making art for all we know, writing voice lines, making changes to the item shop or deciding which hero gets a new skin etc.

This is crazy. It really is a new era of Blizzard. In the OW1 days the devs acted as if it was beneath them to convene with the player base let alone take any advice from them. Now, theyre being coached by a pillar in the gaming community.
Something i have been seeing alot is that if sombra had damage range increased or bloom decreased then she would be meta. This makes sense because she can kill up close with hack on but can’t do more then annoy. With this change you can actually be effective
It’s usually better to engage with your punch because it’s a shorter cooldown and knocks enemies back so you won’t have to disengage as much. Slamming in then punching out can do nearly nothing in higher ranks.
