Just in case anyone is wondering, Kohl actually has a pretty good low range. He plays up the "I can't sing bass" for the showmanship, but in a lot of the multitracks he does on his own channel, he shows a full bass range
for those who don’t know, this is loosely based on “Heart” from the musical Damn Yankees. this is such a fun way to play around with an existing song!!
Awesome work. I love the short pieces you've been doing, but this longer one is fun too. And I'm assuming that this was not too easy to do. Thanks for sharing.
I'm so glad we humans have learned to sing this way. Listening to, and sometimes singing along with, vocal harmony does something great for my innards. :-)
Awesome transcription. Have you ever seen the ringmasters video of them warming up? I saw your video about The Vagrant's overtones and that video is nothing but overtones! Keep up the great work!
I have seen that one! I love that whole short series of videos from that masterclass, it's really a joy to watch these giants of barbershop work their craft so well
@@jasonfieler They have a masterclass?? That's a must watch!! I'm so happy their still making new music. Do you like the Bluegrass Student Union by any chance? (Slap that bass is my favorite)
Great singing and keep creating, so many hilarious parts, when you guys would correct each other and roast each other at different points in the transcription. "Fail at singing low" and "You did your best" 😂Keep it up.
One of my all time favorite pieces as expected I can't really understand the sheet music at all(maybe if it was written on the back of a napkin instead)
True story, am a Bari-Bass. Having been cast as Rocky, was tasked with (falsetto) running the Full Upper tenor part for my Archdiocese's theater group's production. The one blessing was this song stayed entirely in falsetto so I didn't have my usual obnoxious breaks that prevent me from nearly ever succeeding at a standard melody (Which is usually fine because I love to harmoize).
I don't, I'm currently doing a composition camp which is why I've stopped uploading daily, but I'm trying to finish my stuff early so I have time to work on more content so that I don't go like a whole week without posting
I agree! Thank you for pointing that out, I made a mistake when importing those bars from my earlier transcription of the same part. I'll put that in the description so that it makes more sense.
I would rather watch those guys sing it then actually seeing the music in this one I think it would be more comical and more understandable as you watch him change the parts instead of the music switching around Plus how am I supposed to know who they are I don’t know their names I was I know is there a quartet in our Mike testers at international and yes I’m a barbershoper

Sorry to hear that, I understand. The original video is linked in the description, but this one was made specifically for the transcription of the music
Nothing like a good ol ‘riiiiaauuooeeiiing’ and ‘fail at singing low part’ in this transcription! Instant classic
Heh I see whatchu did there

The overtone C on that last chord was mental
Loving it too!
It sounds _so much_ like a voice, but the parts check out... I don't really know if I can trust my ears anymore after this.
This is pretty darn accurate.
Wow, thanks so much! I really appreciate it :) you're such an inspiration
The resonance and balance of the last chord always gives me chills

I've apparently neglected my TH-cam barbershop addiction FAR too long, as I'm just now finding this! 🤣🤣🤣

Was not ready for the trololol, that was hilarious!
One is rarely ready for the sudden appearance of the Classic Troll song.
It goes a little something a-like a-thiassssss

Love these full transcriptions
even on paper, this is mind blowing
LES GO! ACTUAL TROLOLLING, thats what i like to hear!
👏👏👏👏👏 to you on this transcription. I appreciate you including the dialogue as well.
Amazing overtones on the final chord
THAT LAST OVERTONE damn
3:47 Lovely, absolutely lovely chord

oh dear if you're this detailed id love to see you take a shot at transcribing breakcore music
Amazing!
The madman did it.
I sure did
this made me seasick trying to orientate through the score XD wth is happening =D
You should check out the GQ quartet!
How do you have time for all of these arrangements?! 😂😅

Idk, but I feel the key signature of Gb major isn't quite right, I feel like that they sing that part in F major. Maybe slightly sharp...
Bar 103 and forward is wrong. Tenor and Lead are notated an octave down from where they are actually singing.
I agree! Thank you for pointing that out, I made a mistake when importing those bars from my earlier transcription of the same part. I'll put that in the description so that it makes more sense.
Lol I just assumed it was a regular treble staff
