Wednesday, Florida opened the scoring on a Sam Bennett goal; Sasha Barkov made it 2-0 in the second. Matthew Tkachuk capped off a 3-point night with an empty-net goal late in the third.
Los Angeles had been 7-0-1 against the Panthers since 2020.
Florida opens a two-game set against the Blackhawks and Islanders on Saturday at 1 p.m.
