lol And how's that working out for ya? I talked to my TACP buddy, and he says that they've tested this test on not only the TACPs and ST TACPs, but also some CCT and PJ dudes, and they've not had a single max out yet.
the goal is not to get a perfect. the goal is to be functional in many different facets of fitness to prevent an airman from getting complacent. don't shoot for perfect, shoot for a score above passing that you can be happy with.
Aaron Cox I'm happy with a perfect score, if my goal was to become a TACP I would shoot for the maximum, I recommend watching an air force pararescue recruitment video in which they say, and I quote "exceeding the standard is the standard" "there's nothing that we love more than a student who blows the standards out of the water and makes us question why the standards were even set so low" I don't think you should shoot for a score you're happy with, in my opinion that's complacency.
Andrew Smith I would recommend listening to a TACP that knows what he's talking about. Myself and Seth literally made this video 5 months ago. I'm telling you, you physically cannot be well rounded enough to score a perfect on this test. But hey, if you want to be a TACP, you've got a long way to go before you even get to take this test. So maybe worry about that first. But ya know, fuck me, what do I know right? Probably go watch a PJ video or something and you can figure it out yourself.
I just talked to my TACP and PJ buddy. Both the TACP Community, and the CCT/PJ Community have been taking part in this test. They've yet to have a max out.
Man, these Special Tactics TACP Battlefield Airmen are world class and badass Warfighters and Military Athletes. Hooah and Hallelujah US Air Force Special Tactics!! 💪💪💪💪💪🇺🇸🦅🗽♠️🔥🔪💀
@Andrew Ape just thought I'd pipe in and say that TACPs do not consider themselves "special forces". They do think of themselves as "Special Operations Assets" however. This is due to the fact that TACPs are deployed in several man squads as an attachment to a larger unit for providing air support coordinates. TACPs are also not direct action elements, this is another reason why they don't consider themselves "special forces".
@@justelynnnjoelle not direct action? TACPs plug and play all over the battlefield whether that’s on an ODA or BDE fires cell. They do it all. If your not a TACP/JTAC please refrain from commenting.

Not hard to pass, absolutely brutal to max. Im an infantryman in the army and amatuer strongman athlete. I really like the blend of speed, agility, strength and endurance. My 10 years in the infantry have tought me a 2 mile time has no impact on a soldiers ability to stay in the fight. but their speed and VO2 max are much better metrics that measure ones competence. Grip, deadlift, pullup and ball throw measuring strength. farmers, cone drill, speed. Rower, crunches, lunges and 1.5mile run VO2 max and endurance. Im happy to see the army starting to move in that direction with the ACFT.
Couldn't have picked a better song. That medicine ball toss effed up my shoulder on the second test I took. Hopefully the grip strength and lunges get removed once the test becomes official. Great vid man!
Do date, there has been no clear guidance on how this test will be used for assessing new and prospective TACPs. Right now, current TACPs are being asked to test 3 times before the close of the 3rd Quarter, 2016 in an effort to collect data about current TACP performance in these events. It should be noted that all TACPs featured in this video have littler or no experience with this test, to include zero training for the test ('little experience' equates to less than a week of exposure to the test).
This replacing the past test would be a good thing. It would allow some one who's well rounded to get in not just some one who just bluer the past test
Sweet F-ing Jesus! Who was their Test Subject for maxing this test out?!?! Motherfuckin' Hercules?!?! Does anyone actually have any further updates on this test and whether or not it was actually implemented within the TACP Community? If so, do they have a standard for the ST TACP guys?
Kiela Hammel , I just talked to one of the guys in my Brigade's TACP Attachment, and he's saying that it's probably incoming officially, but as of right now, it's still in testing phase.
Training on a fairly regular basis should make this test pretty straight forward, which I'd fucking hope an airman does. Granted, for smaller airmen this test will be a bit harder, but your avg 6' 200+lb guy in good shape and training 3-4 times a week + service, should breeze through it.
I can probably pull 415 on a trap bar for 5 reps right now...but there's no way my fat ass is running a mile in under 10, let alone 1.5 miles. This is an awesome new set of goals to have
