The fix that worked for me was quite simple: I removed the shifter from the rig, performed the calibration while holding it in my hands, and then remounted it. Serious Question here (I’m a sim newbie) - What am I actually looking at here? What is hardware and what is your screen? For example - are your feet on the pedals - actually “your” feet - or is that part of the game? If you’ve broken this down somewhere in a separate video - I would really appreciate a link. Yes, they do to some extent. While not everything from sim racing translates directly to real driving, you definitely develop quicker reflexes and a better understanding of how a car behaves in real life. However, it's important to remember that not everything is exactly the same, and in real life, there are no reset buttons 😊. Sim racing can be a great tool for honing certain skills!🙌
@@ProjectSimRacing I see, basically hoping that simulation will help you master m3 or some beast c63 is not so close to reality… yet i still might get the simulator, o literally haven’t driven stick shift since the license exams… thanks for clarifying!
@chrisvaughan2462, it will definitely help you get accustomed to using a stick shift! The effectiveness also depends on the sim you're playing. For instance, if you're using a high-quality M3 or C63 mod in Assetto Corsa, it can closely mimic the real driving experience. With a top-notch wheel like my Fanatec or similar, you can get about 80% of the real deal in terms of experience. But driving a M3 in NFS, won't help you in any way😝🤣
I have Soft-lock on. That makes sure that my steering angle matches the real car. In this case, this being an old car, the steering angle is about 1040 if I remember correctly. An F1 car has only 360😁
@Alex71ToW, pour avoir la neige, vous devez choisir une course simple, pas un contre-la-montre. Dans le mode course simple, vous aurez l'option de sélectionner des conditions hivernales comme la neige😊
Love your content. Watching you play this game makes me feel very ordinary. Do you have your car setups anywhere you can share?? Or can you make a guide on the basics?
@Kessler296, thanks for the love and support! Never feel ordinary - remember, practice is the key to improvement in sim racing. As for car setups, I usually stick with almost default settings. The main thing I adjust is the brake bias; I prefer more brake in the front to help rotate the car while braking, sort of like using a handbrake. This style might not be for everyone, as many find it a bit tricky😊 Keep practicing, and you'll find what works best for you. Happy racing!
@doxceelie362, no worries! Soft-lock is a feature in the game that adjusts the steering wheel's rotation limit to match the real-life car you're driving. So, for modern cars in the game, your wheel will use around 540 degrees of rotation, similar to what you're used to. But for older cars, the rotation could be double or more. I prefer having soft-lock enabled because it adds to the realism, even though it varies from car to car. It's all about making the experience feel as authentic as possible! But if you only want to be as fast as possible and help you with muscle memory, then 540 degrees is the way to go🙂
thanks! i understand now. i have never raced with more then 540, so i think if im going to try some older cars i would be terrible hahahah. thanks for the amazing video's this year. hope to see many more in the future! @@ProjectSimRacing

@charliegraham819, thanks so much for the awesome compliment! Really glad you're enjoying the videos. About the Sparco shifter, I actually got it online - it's a bit of a hunt, but worth it for the feel of sequential shifting. And yes, the setup does take a bit of power, but it's all part of the passion for sim racing! Keep practicing the heel-and-toe; you'll get there. Thanks again for the support, and happy racing! 😄
THE CAR IS TOO AIRY. lawn, gravel, etc. are used in the same way. you can't drive as hard with a gamepad if the control/physics are done correctly. drive out suspend? why not? develop the car in career mode why not ? why make a crappy game over your head?

No, the dd pro is not better in any way over the DD1. If you want the best, then you should get Fanatec's latest wheel: fanatec.com/eu-en/detail/index/sArticle/1896?FAP+Banner&General+Links&a_aid=642e93a817bf2
This one is actually better than even the DD2!😊
Serious Question here (I’m a sim newbie) - What am I actually looking at here? What is hardware and what is your screen? For example - are your feet on the pedals - actually “your” feet - or is that part of the game? If you’ve broken this down somewhere in a separate video - I would really appreciate a link. This is literally incredible - I gotta get this!!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it! 😊🙌 I film my triple 55" OLED TVs with a helmet mounted GoPro. And you can find all my gear in my setup tour video here th-cam.com/video/_BNNc7JcLVM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=mG9_RZ_XtRTJ-NaD
You'll also get a much better idea of how everything works 😊 And if you have any othrr questions or if something is still not 100% clear, please let me know. Happy new year!
@@ProjectSimRacing Thanks very much for the link to your set up - a really well done video!
@CameronRandolph thank you! 🙌
Happy New Year! 🎉
Can you share your FFB Settings for EA Sports WRC? I am really curios :D
I actually use Fanalabs recommended settings for DiRT Rally 2.0 😁 eith default in-game settings ans soft-lock on 🙌
I have a question, why you use tvs instead of monitors which have less input lag?
@Narcis.N, I use TVs because there aren't really any 55" monitors available. Plus, these OLED TVs offer great speed and low input lag, making them excellent for gaming.
Quick question, how do you get that secondary display showing gear/revs etc working?
I'm using an app called SimHub 😊
is g923 or g29 good to start this hobby, can't afford t300rs, just g29 with logitech gear i afford.
in turkey fanatic racing wheels starting 1000$ i cant afford :(
Are you sure they start at that price? Have you checked the ready to race bundle? Here's the link fanatec.com/eu-en/ready2race/?_gl=1*1iq9uzr*_up*MQ..*_ga*NjkxNDQ4NjQ5LjE2OTU2ODMwNjM.*_ga_Q6VYC4JPVE*MTY5NTY4MzA2Mi4xLjAuMTY5NTY4MzA2Mi4wLjAuMA..&FAP+Banner&General+Links&a_aid=642e93a817bf2
I ask because while thr g29 is an ok wheel, it doesn’t come anywhere near the Fanatec dorect drive wheel. The Fanatec wheel feels like a real car😊
@@ProjectSimRacing yes i saw this too astronomy price in turkey because you need an export permit to import products costing more than $150 including shipping since there is no official distributor in turkey they are sold at a very high price
@Lol-wj5uj oh I see.. 🙄 Then the G29 is the best option you got😊 I had myself the G27 for almost 10 years 😊
Which do you think is better, dirt rally 2.0 or wrc23 so far
WRC is made by Codemasters, the same people that made DR2😁 I say that because I really do think it's an improvement over DR2 😊
Hey man, ive built myself a pc, slowly getting to a good setup 😁
Happy to hear that! What's the specs?
@@ProjectSimRacing its quite budget but it has a i5-12400f, rog strix 1070ti, 16gb ddr4 ram with a little under 7tb of storage, amazing for 1080p max graphics but not quite 1440p
i can run almost any game at max graphics from 60-90fps but i lower them down to a mix of medium and high for about 120fps just so it feels smoother
@DamianPritchard that's a good PC! 👍😊
@@ProjectSimRacing now we may be able to do a collab some time 🤷♀️
noob question, do those skills transition to real driving?
But driving a M3 in NFS, won't help you in any way😝🤣
how do you do so you get no edge between the tv´s??
I use the Asus ROG Bazel Free Kit 😊 amzn.to/46Rs0MK
Hello Sébastien Loeb! Incredible driving, it’s a pure treat to see! And the graphics... perfect 👍👍
2:11 I think you sweated 😂😂
Nice vidéo buddy 👍✅
Thank you so much brother! I really appreciate it! Yeah, that was a close call 😄🤣
As always, thank you so much for the kind words and for watching! 💙🙌
how do you do it, you don't turn the steering wheel as much as normal, but like in f1 pls tell me how
I have Soft-lock on. That makes sure that my steering angle matches the real car. In this case, this being an old car, the steering angle is about 1040 if I remember correctly. An F1 car has only 360😁
What kind of car is this in this video specifically? Lancia? Audi? Peugeot? MG Metro? :)
Lancia Delta S4 🙂
Thank you very much.😊@@ProjectSimRacing
@chrocl with pleasure! 🙌
mann, i hope u can try real rally car some time. Look so amazing
I would love to try the real deal 😁 Thank you!
Can you share your wheel settings please
Sure, I use Fanalabs recommended settings for DiRT Rally 2.0 and default in-game settings with soft-lock on 😊
What is, how much is fps (frame per second)?. 🤔
I get 120fps 😊
@@ProjectSimRacing super thank you and congratulations for the 15k subscribe in 15 days ✌️
@Alex71ToW thank you so much brother! 💙🙌
This style might not be for everyone, as many find it a bit tricky😊
Keep practicing, and you'll find what works best for you. Happy racing!
hey, on how many degrees of rotation do you play?
I have soft-lock on😊
im sorry, what does that mean? i have a csl dd pro and i play on 540 degrees.@@ProjectSimRacing
@doxceelie362 🙂 You will at first, but youll get used to it👍 Thanks for watching my videos this year and Happy New Year! 🙌🎉
what better gameplay wrc or dirt 2.0?
WRC in my opinion 😊
@@ProjectSimRacing is multiplayer Good on it ?
@yacineyassine3044 I actually haven't tried it yet 😁
Dont let youtube compress your videos bro it will lose quality. You can use software to compress it on your own.
If I understand it correctly, no matter what you do, youtube will still compress the video. That's just how youtube works. But make dure you watch my videos at 4k 60fps. They look almost as good as my original videos.
what desk have you got?
Desk? You mean for my where I have my PC?
yeah my bad meant which stand do you use@@ProjectSimRacing
For the triple TVs I use this one: trakracer.eu/collections/monitor-stands/products/legs-for-floor-monitor-stand-for-tr8020-monitor-stand-black?ref=ProjectSimRacing
Does fanatec ever have any discount codes?
No discount codes at all, but they do have ready to race bundles here: fanatec.com/eu-en/ready2race/?_gl=1*1iq9uzr*_up*MQ..*_ga*NjkxNDQ4NjQ5LjE2OTU2ODMwNjM.*_ga_Q6VYC4JPVE*MTY5NTY4MzA2Mi4xLjAuMTY5NTY4MzA2Mi4wLjAuMA..&FAP+Banner&General+Links&a_aid=642e93a817bf2
@@ProjectSimRacing ok thank you
@wizardbeast9810 your welcome! Let me know if you need any help choosing the right gear😊✌️
lv it my guy ur like a fuckin ballerina with the feet so imprssive with the heel and toe im detemined to get somewhere close to that make it look easy buddy and i know it aint here was wanting to ask u were did you get ur sparco shifter for seqential shifting have tried everywhere to get ur one lol lv the setup sure it cost u a bomb on electric with the 3 screens and stuff and im sure ur using a highend pc to boot lol keep up the great vids buddy one of my fav content creators :)
I don't because it feels so broken in this game. Rev matching don't seem to work. Shift lock don't work either. So no point of rev matching.
I am back 😅💙
Broooo chill yours skills out man😲😳
Welcome back mate! ✌️
Haha😄🙌
@@ProjectSimRacing thanks man😉
be patient. in life there is always worst
Thanks for sharing! 😊
I have a tips for you that make u drive faster😈use 2x in the video
Hahaha Thanks a lot😝🤣🤣
would you gift me this one pc
Haha😄
THE CAR IS TOO AIRY. lawn, gravel, etc. are used in the same way. you can't drive as hard with a gamepad if the control/physics are done correctly. drive out suspend? why not? develop the car in career mode why not ? why make a crappy game over your head?
hi, what DD settings do you use in the game and in the Fanatec control panel? thanks
Default in-game settings with soft-lock on and I use Fanalabs recommended settings for DiRT Rally 2.0 😁
