- Second flight for the technical acceptance of an A380 from THAI Airways in 1/13 scale. Unfortunately it was not possible to repair the landing gear fault in the short time between the two flights. That's why the gear stayed extended.
Rainer Kamitz was at the sticks and did an impressive flight.

My dad designed the landing gear for the real A380. He's passed now, but it makes me happy to see people be passionate about something he helped make a reality. I wish he could have seen this, it definately would have made him smile! So on his behalf too, I'll say this is awesome!

It has a wing span of 20 feet and is 18 feet long. Let me make this even more clear its about 1/3 ish smaller than a Cessna airplane with a wing span of 30 ish feet and 20 fleet long. Let that sink in..

As someone else mentioned, it is a verywell made small real plane. This is not something that you buy online or get at the store. This plane would have cost close to 10K if i could guess.

I visited the Rolls Royce plant on a school trip where those turbines were made. Hundreds of tiny 3 inch men and women running around. It was the most bizarre thing i've ever seen

As per FAA regulation If it's playing far away from airport or airplane route, maximum weight not over 55 lbs and altitude under 500 ft, it's free for play, same as you can play drone. Most of aeromodelling fans usually playing it at non commercial airport with legal permission of authority

The landing gear did look great, but I prefer them up when it's in flight, and maybe some exponential or something on the front nose gear, to help stop it Ground handling all over, other than that beautiful plane

Watching this makes one realize what kind of things can be done with realistic props. If we were watching this on a News channel from a distance and saw it crash and the anchor immediately went into a frantic pitch about how many people died on that thing, most of us would believe it without question.
