- Pumpkin carving that anyone can do, plus one that's out of its gourd! Three carvings, and the first two started crying... yep, they really did! The last one is a more advanced carving with really tough skin and flesh...
The second carving starts at about 3:50
The third carving starts at about 8:54
No talking in this one, and no music. Just the sound of carving, tools, and whatever is happening in the background. I don't know if this qualifies as ASMR, but I hope you enjoy it either way!

I never saw how a pumpkin is carved until I saw this video. You have got so much and many talents which I never cease to surprise me. I also never did pumpkin carving as a child since that tradition was unknown then here in Germany. Only recently the kids go trick or treatin here as well. I have the bad talent to really cut and hurt myself with such sharp knives like you use in this video. Hopefully you had a nice pumpkin dinner from all those carved out pieces. Thank,you Rod for sharing this with us. But I never feel like celebrating Halloween any longer since my mother passed away on 31.10.2012. I still miss her more than ever - even if things between her and me were sometimes difficult in the past. Cant believe that it has been 8 years now. Semper Fi.

They look great Rod!! Not sure about your area but here they've been talking about a pumpkin shortage. I've never mess with them and where we lived with my daughter growing up there wasn't a reason to have them. I didn't think so anyway lol

Rod what an effort to do all this. Here in South Africa we don't see things like this, I don't know the reason for all the pumpkins we see all over. You did great work just as awesome as your wood turning.
The crows in the background make it seem even more Halloween like for some reason.
It's very cool to carve pumpkins. The knife work is excellent. I think it would be more funny if you put a LED light in it. making a jack-o-lanter.

Where did you pick up that carving tool/knife?
Really nice work! For the last one, if you have another squash like it, carve out a chunk about the size that would've been covering the skull side and lay it next to it. It'll look like you dropped it and broke it and the skull was inside the whole time.
