I found them on Amazon. I don't remember which exact store I got them from on amazon but just do a search for plate carrier quick release and you'll find links to multiple of those products.
I slip on and off my safe life defense tactical vest like a t-shirt and I put it on the same way I don't even bother taking the velcro off I've only used the velcro half-a-dozen times ninety-nine percent of the time it stays Velcroed I've had my Safe Life defense since 2021
@Primordial Defense I have to replace my tactical vest pretty soon with the brand new one believe it or not this is only the second time I ever use my tactical vest longer than 6 months going on 7 months 6 days a week up to 10 to 14 hours a day watch your six brother
Have had my vest since 2021. Two nights ago (may 2024) during a hands on combative the old velcro detached. That's the first time i ever had that happen. That fight was an absolute btch with my vest flying all over. I was looking at buying a different vest altogether, but i think I'm gonna give this a try. All in all, I do like my safelife carrier, and the failure was my fault. I knew it was getting weak and kept putting it off as it hadn't had any issues, until it did.
After doing this I should've just tried to see if my seamstress could sew the pieces on as they were intended to be on there vs reversing the pieces to fit because reversing it was easier. With the pieces placement reversed I don't get that quick detach when I pull the cord. I have to use second hand to push one piece out to disconnect it. I don't know how hard it would be to do, but even adding snap buttons to the edges/corners could help with keeping it in place. Sort of like older school 1990s design for some tactical vests.
You are a genius man!!! I am a gear enthusiast and own the safety vest. I was also wondering if there was a way to mount a quick release and improve my vest. Just flip the release, why did I not think of that?
It's worked fine for me. If I could do it over again I would've seen about having seamstress sew it on the way it was intended to be oriented instead of just doing it the easy way which puts the pieces backwards.
@@primordialdefense5769 not judging just curious, I start an armed position at a school soon and want one of these but had the same concern regarding the closures. 🤙
@@shinobi-no-bueno I would recommend a uniform style carrier. Looks more professional. I don't have any buckles like this on mine. I leave just a little loose on the sides to slip it on and off like a T-shirt.
Literally had my strap fail today in a footchase, can you shoot me the links to this?

SLD needs to make their own quick disconnect system.
Do you have a link to the cobra buckles you looked at?

Just got to think outside the box sometimes.

SO how has this worked out for you? I am looking at the same issues. Looking for the same cure.

Dude, you are a genius. I just got my safe life and im trying to modify the front into velcro to work with my agilite pincer placard lol
Wish these companies made quick releases for more common security & police vests, as they install on thinner 3 rows molle straps of plate carriers
How' did you put those on
Took to seamstress and she sewed them on.
My velcro straps are wearing out
What’s the link
Link for what?
It could be a pro too. If a subject pulls on yours they aren't going to be able to get the vest off. You know they will grab for anything in a fight.
That's a good pro I didn't think of.
Where can u order this quick release
I got them from amazon. Don't remember exact seller, though..
I need these connectors
Send this video to safelife
I'm sure they've had to have considered the option.
Couldn't you have your seamstress just sew* both components into the carrier in the intended positions
I supposed I could have. I thought this would be an easier and simpler fix.
