  • In this video, I want to show you how I made a pipe that I have been thinking about for a long time.
I designed these pipes with inspiration from ivy.
However, he first started by thinking about how to make pipe smoking more enjoyable.
I used walnut wood in this project. I used fig tree branches for the stems.
A similar pipe can be easily made using different materials. However, it was actually quite a difficult task to achieve this using only wood and tree branches...
Bending the stems was a very difficult and required patience.
    Many of my attempts failed.
Despite this, it was quite enjoyable for me to make pipes again after a short break.
I hope you enjoy it too.

So no one's gonna mention how hilarious it was to see him go from bending the bamboo just right into shape to showing the 101 failed attempts he swept off the table? A+ work. I was wondering how flexible they even were. My fear of them breaking as you were bending them were quickly validated 😂

Thank you for the comment. I thought this idea would provide a fun way to smoke. If it wasn't like this, I would definitely give up while making the handles. It was really difficult to give this shape to wooden pipes. Many of my attempts failed. I think people who try this might be confused if I don't show the broken pipes in the video.
Although the pipes were supposed to be shorter, unfortunately there is no wood that can withstand more bending than this. For this, it is necessary to use different materials. Thank you for watching.

@BROTHER_WOOD08 it was such a treat to witness. It was very informative and impressive, to say the least! Im currently making a small beginner wooden pipe of my own through slow widdling and sanding and found big inspiration in your work!

Thank you for watching. I'm glad you liked it. This place is Turkey's Artvin city, Yusufeli... It is a very mountainous region. There are many places where you can lean against a rock and smoke a pipe.

What drill bit are you using to drill the center for the stem?
    Amazing pipes by the way!

Thank you for watching. I'm glad you liked it. I do not drill when making pipe stems. There is a natural gap in the tree branches I use, I just clean this gap, that's all. I used fresh fig tree branches in this project. and I cleaned the inside with a piece of flat metal and that was it.

What type of branch do you use for pipes?

Crazy cool design, but how the heck are you going to run a pipe cleaner down it lmao

Thank you for watching. To be honest, I can't say these pipes will fare well with cleaning sticks.
There are roughnesses in the fig branch I use and these will definitely cause problems during cleaning...
Such a curved shape can only function smoothly with a smooth air vent. But I still think these pipes will be worth using.

@@BROTHER_WOOD08I might try to emulate your design but keep two draft holes to allow cleaning. Bending some oak potentially for the stem. Very interesting, unique, and clever design! I really like it and you executed it incredibly well

    So. Much. SANDING. 💀

Some tools are not in my workshop so I need to do more sanding. That's why there are so many. However, I would like to say that I wore a mask while doing this.
