I been looking at 100s of longreining videos and double-line " lunging" videos and NON of them showed the kindness and respect to the horse as you do. YOU noticed how your horse feels, how it moves and adjusted acordingky- unlike the other videos with handlers who just went about DOING stuff To the horse- unaware of how the horse is reacting to their obliviaten. SUPER NICELY DONE❤❤ With heart and Brain😅😅😅
Thank you this was really useful to make a start. Could you do a tutorial on taking it up to a trot please? I will be unable to run behind, is it possible to control from the centre?
Hi! Thanks for the comment, so pleased you found it useful. Part 2 of this series should help you with stepping it up to the trot, here's the link th-cam.com/video/eQD6Pjn6zaQ/w-d-xo.html. Have fun! Lyla :o)
Kira Mathers Good question! I start by standing along side them with the outside line over the horses back, I ‘cluck’ to say go and then if the horse doesn’t go I gently shake the rope that’s over their back to so it taps them on the back. If they don’t go, you can get another person to lead your horse until they understand ☺️
Of all the videos I’ve seen on long reining this is prob the best - clear, concise, and above all, makes sense 😅
