I've had a lot of ups and downs on this journey and one thing i'm always going to do is keep it transparent and honest. Starting a business as a broke graduate with no investment was hard and it's still very difficult. It's certainly not the only way to success, and who knows I might work for a dope company one day or build a few new ones; this is just the beginning of my journey and I hope this helps you get a new perspective on what possibilities are out there. Honestly, prayer is what helped me get through all the confusion. But even if you don't overthink it to the point where you're scared to do anything. God is gracious and good enough to course correct you on your journey so just it a step at a time and things will fall into place
This is such a great example of taking the influence and advice from your parents, your aunt, and yourself. Not to be cheesy, but it’s like a 3 strand braid which you used to create a beautiful life! Knowing when to take their advice, when to reject it, and when to follow your gut. That’s amazing. Thank you for sharing.
I’m a university graduate and I do hair as a side hustle. I feel so blessed with that talent cos I never learnt how to do hair. I just had that skill and decided to monetize it. I hope to solely go into it full time

It truly made me sit and think because I’m an aspiring writer and I’ve hit an all time low where it’s been really difficult for me to write things lately and it’s been very discouraging. I’ve been researching ways to become an author for nearly half my life and I haven’t found any clear steps to get there especially with my apparent writers block. Idk at times I sit and think that maybe writing isn’t the best way to go because it isn’t as practical and straight forward as other careers. But it’s hard to let go of a dream you’ve been holding onto for so long and a passion that brought you joy in times of hardship. I’m just at a point where I’m at a crossroads and I can’t decide whether I should continue with it or just give up on it completely and find an undiscovered passion of mine. Wow! Im from Poland and there is NO JOBS/internships for 15 years old. You over there are so lucky! So young but already have working experience or could develop some extra skills on the side whereas we are asked just to study something we are not even sure of!
It was a really good initiative. It doesn't actually happen anymore I don't think. Getting work experience can be so hard especially when people are asking you for experience before you can get any. I think working on your own skills independently is the best way to get around the struggle to get work experience young or whilst studying.

Just finished watching and I must say this video comes at a very interesting time for me lool I literally was walking today thinking about my future career But I enjoyed watching this video! It was great to see how you have worked out your passions, parental expectations, academic ability and just the need to make some money lol till date! You have really been a hustler! The end was also very encouraging! It's great to see how you have been successful in establishing a good name for yourself! However, the video did leave me wondering whether I have invested or just shown enough solid interest in the career I am pursuing (But I'll have to query that later lol) I'm currently pursuing a career in law haha and I very much agree with your comments on the accessibility of the legal profession especially concerning the Bar! I'm outside the UK and not really with the Accounting side of things so ACCA is not quite for me. But thank you so much for sharing Courtney!

❤️ all the best with the business and graduation! 1. Highlight your unique skills and how they could help the company your applying to grow. 2. Show in interviews, emails, cover letter etc that you're passionate about the industry (not just in the way you talk about it but in the extra-curricular things you do) 3. Talk about how this internship at this company or with these people will help you grow more (do your research) Getting internships isn't the easiest; there's not always a lot of opportunities out there. If you can work on your own project that can show a wealth of experience to future employers also.
