I was working while listening to this and I glanced over at the character select screen and thought one of the guys was called 'THE PRINCE OF CROUTONS' and now I'm disappointed because I was wrong.

Great to see Aeons End being played. Now on to harder enemys. I'd recommend reading the special rules of the nenesis at the start of battle. They can be pretty gamechanging

Unlike in most deckbuilders you dont actually discard your hand at the end of the turn in Aeon's end. You can keep cards for your next turn, including money that you can't spend effectively.

True, but at the cost of not drawing cards in their place. So there's a tradeoff between keeping cards and drawing a fresh new hand, although not ever shuffling means you can get a good sense of what's upcoming.

Love the co-op. Great energy, perfect timing. The selfless ghost hands deck, a classic.

I've been playing this on tabletop simulator with my family for a while now, this game is great on tabletop but this video game adaptation was under-developed. That said, would watch the heck out of a series of this.

Aeons End is online? I didn't know that, I bought the physical copy on the Spiel '17. Time to check out the online version

I have owned this game in real life for a very long time and no one wants to play it with me cuz they're intimidated by the box

Boxes can be pretty intimidating, I guess... BUT I feel you.
I have Ascension, but nobody wants to play with me because of the *English*

there are a few things that might help getting them into it:
1, they happen to be fans of the rising of the shield hero anime, if so draw some lines between the themes of both the worlds (wave defense, boss monster)
2, it's co-op, meaning you can help them every step of the way, there is no detriment for them to showing you their hand and asking for play advice as you are all working together anyways.
3, if they are afraid of the box, show them content :P set a game up for them tell them that the rules are fairly simple, tell them only the rules they need pertaining to their turns, don't tell them how the nemesis does it's thing or how the shop is set-up, you handle all those things yourself.
Hope this helps. If not, try getting them hooked on a lighter game first before making the leap to AE.
Give them sentinels of the multiverse for example: a light co-op card game that shares a few ideas with AE, but gives you standard decks to play with.
Or start with big book of madness, another co-op game with a bit of a lighter touch that introduces deckbuilding

I am trying to watch this as you guys are always entertaining of course, and the concept of the game sounds good, but wow the interface is super cluttered/busy. It is very difficult to look at as a first impression.
