the camera on the computer was a high-density infrared camera which allowed the camera to view through the objects within plastic that's why you were able to see the back of his phone as well
Now remember that most cam covers are made of cheap, thin plastic
the frozen lake at the end is called Quake Lake. it is located in southwest Montana close to the Idaho border. it was formed in 1959 when a 7.5 earthquake hit the area and part of a mountain broke free and slid into and across the river valley. there are 28 people buried here in the rubble. the trees are what is left of the forest that was flooded causing the trees to die. this lake is slowly going away due to the erosion of the earth/debris dam and will someday go back to just being a part of the river again.

Our company embeds transparent TVs into our dimmable glass. We have a huge outside wall of glass with TVs. We've sold a few of them, including a company that bought an entire outdoor overhead tunnel of TVs that can be turned off for sunlight, or dimmed dark and TVs displaying incredible graphics. It's like a smaller version of the the overhead TVs on Fremont Ave in Vegas, but high resolution and indoors.
In our lunchroom, we also have a little sample of the TV as a proof of concept and we can play Nintendo on it.

0:40 - That camera does not have the IR filter in the lens, probably a security camera with night vision.
That "black" plastic is not really black, it is "infrared color", it looks black because we cant see infrared, but the camera can, so it looks transparent to camera.
Not all remotes are made this way, but, almost all infrared remotes have a window in the front made of a similar material.

oh, that remote's plastic is probably made to be transparent in the infrared so the remote signals can be sent through it and the camera must be able to record that part of the spectrum.
This is very common - more expensive cameras have an infrared filter built in to stop them doing this as the sensor will pick up IR just as well as it does visible light.

@2:20 You can actually make a transparent TV yourself quite easily. Take any common TV available nowadays(except OLED or plasma) open it up and remove the backlight from the back of the LCD and you have a transparent TV. That's all it takes - a transparent TV is just one in which they omitted the backlight panel.
When I’m watching TV I want to see what’s on the screen, not what’s behind it.
Fun fact: ant eater claws are normally used to dig out anthills and termite nests which could be as strong as concrete
