It's rare to find an actor that can excel at playing both "good" and "evil" roles but Murphy is one of the select few that can pull it off.
I wouldn't be able to even talk to him tbh, he's just so intimidatingly gorgeous.

"Ah! I don't know if that's a compliment or not..." Hahaha.. He didn't seem so thrilled with the suggestion he fit the Fifty Shades of Grey character either. Poor guy. He's probably one of the least shady celebrities there is, and played a creepy role in Batman. And really well! Left an impression. I think he's a really handsome guy with a unique appeal.

At first I kind of admired the interviewer for being a little more bold with her questions but then she started to go on and on about what its like to front a movie that has less-than-stellar reviews and pretty much insulted him with the whole "casting" thing so...thankgod Cillian is such a classy man.

To me Cillian Murphy would’ve been great as Christian Grey, the other actor I was thinking of at the time was Jonathan Rhys Meyers. Once again the script for Fifty Shades was just so “ blah”, it could’ve been so much better !

How can a person be so perfect - these eyes, the mouth, face, voice and the way he behaves and of course his capability to act...just everything. Such an unique human being. His wife must be a very lucky woman. What would I give to interview him. Probably would die before it could even happen. :-D
I love Cillian, he is an amazingly talented actor, but has kept his feet firmly on the ground, he seems humble, shy, eloquent and a genuinely nice, grounded man, he's very special and his star will continue to rise...
First she craps all over his film, then tells him that he might be good fit for a horrid character, and then proceeds to ridicule his appearance. Jeez what a terrible interview. Side note, I'm happy that whoever casts Game of Thrones strayed a bit from the source material and chose Iwan Rheon to play Ramsay. He isn't ugly, but he plays the part well.

most interviewers are really bad at their job, they either wanna be your friend and suck up to you or they wanna be little and humiliate you. He seems to always get the ones that are just terrible.
Imagine if they give the role to cillian. He's great but everyone would fall in love with him instead of hate him.

This interview seemed a bit awkward, I don't know maybe that is just my interpretation. But it sounded as if she was saying the film was bad, and perhaps even slightly insulting his appearance. Would it have killed to say "No, it was a compliment" or just anything? Because I mean, damn, have you seen him? He's bloody flawless.
I’m becoming gradually obsessed with this man ! For someone who doesn’t like interviews he’s actually done quite a lot of them and he’s worked with so many huge Hollywood names! He always looks demure and kinda shy in interviews then next thing you know he is stomping someone’s head in on the set on Peaky Blinders! I love that dichotomy with him that he’s played such an iconic hyper-masculine character and then on the other side he just seems like the sweetest guy ever who just wants to go home and take a nap !
If he wasn't married, and if he wore a t-shirt saying "Kiss me, I'm Irish!!" I would get the breath spray and literally do it!!! He's beautiful!!!

I am a guy, and Cillian Murphy is my favorite actor becuase he adds so much drama and so much...realism to the film. He is a wonderful action hero as well as a villain. He's a great romantic actor and a great detective. He's just the best.

Ah come on, that's true that this interview is not great but I've seen far worse and at least here Mr Murphy deals with it like a boss.
This is why the man doesn’t like doing interviews...CRINGE CRINGE CRINGE. Americans don’t get what a legend this guy is. During the premier of his movie Dunkirk, I saw an interviewer from MTV ask him about what he thinks of Harry Styles’ (who was also in the movie) short hair! I couldn’t deal. Of all the questions to ask this brilliant actor who has been in The Dark Knight trilogy, inception, sunshine, red eye, breakfast on Pluto and Peaky Fookin blinders, THAT is what you ask him!! Can’t deal! It’s like having a chance to interview Leonardo Da Vinci and asking him what he thinks of Billie Eilishes hair color...🤦🏻♀️
This man is riveting. So measured, so centred and brings that to his acting. Concentrates on 'being' rather than hurrying towards the next move. Red Lights had me in tears. Don't get all the criticism. As for Misterman - Cilly showed his world class talent to all the London luvvies. I was proud! And he's only 36. He said he wouldn't do trash. 50 shades? Serious, serious, serious? Does he want that kind of global heart throb fame?

Yes! The tv show character in the peaky blinders is flawless but I am not so amazed since it is a script. He delivers it perfectly, but it is not him, it's the script. What amazed me are his interviews. The way he speaks, his levelheaded talking, and no nonsence, so genuine and yet so well spoken. He means every word he says. Just amazed.

It is 12 years ago since this interview was done. It is a good one. What I like the most is how Cillian explains his job, like if it was 'a chain production Factory'. His job it is 'just a piece' of the final item that it is going to be launched to the consumer.. I like how humble he is, taking into account the show business sector he is involved and all the egos that characterized the people of that sector. Only good rational persons are like this. It reminds me to Javier Bardem replies Who is also in the movies business and has experienced all the craziness that fandom might cause in a single person..Too much down to Earth,.do you say that?👍

irish accent suits him better, it reflects his nobility.. but it's sweet how it jumps every now and then when he's trying to speak with american accent :) My mind was blown when I realised that he really would be the perfect Grey, I never have thought of that before..but I also agree that he is too good for that part.
