Although, I definitely prefer sequel over the first part, chapters 1-4 are almost obsolete - it should be done in just one chapter lasting 15-30 minutes. This very beginning last FOUR hours and is with no doubt the most discouraging, boring and expendable part of the game.
I think those first chapters are a good introduction for people who have not played the first game. For me and you, however, I agree that they are a bit slow.
