Originally just planned to watch a minute of this. Ended up watching the whole vid and singing all the words with a tear in my eye. Dime, you will never be forgotten.
I've never known much about playing guitar. but I've always loved the art, and the huge amounts of notes to hit on the screen really show the talent required to do it correctly. I might get into actually playing with this game.
you sir, just got another subscriber!! i love your music and have been following you since rocksmith 1 but seeing you play this song has made my up my mind. you are one hell of a guitarist and i can't wait to see you grow as a musician
Also why are there dislikes? He nailed it perfectly. You can't get a perfectly perfect score on this sort of stuff on rocksmith. Because quite often the game doesn't register harmonics, bends etc. It is possible though to get a song to 100+% on learn a song with making few mistakes.
I'm getting into RS2014 myself. I had the original and I never enjoyed it as much as this. Especially because you basically couldn't turn off the DYN DIFF as in if you really messed something up it downgraded your DD.. I'm lovin this one. My question is, when your practicing do you spend tons of time replaying sections till you play perfect or do you just go along with the whole song and play to it? I used to slow them right down but lately I've just been jamming and getting fairly high scores just going off the screen as I go, like 85-86% for fear of the dark for example. Just wondering how you do it. Thanks!
those chords with the arrow things going to either side, what are they, and how do you play them. I cant find them in the lessons, so i have no idea what im supposed to do with them.
How did you get this song? I have the game but I'm waiting on the console to run it and I looked online for this song specifically and could not find it on their list.
Thanks Mike! You have to play the pinch harmonics part yourself, which is great. In fact, the only thing the game really provides is the tone for the song, the notation (how they transcribed it), and the song to jam with. It is up to you to play notes along with the song.
Nick Smith Are there difficult songs in this program? Or whatever it is? Or are these fan made like with guitar hero? I mean, rob Marcello, Batio, becker, stuff like that.
you can, but you need xbox live, psn (if you have ps3) and $10... when you load the game, it should say if you want to import songs... go to shop, and buy the import tool for $10, any more questions, or if unclear, reply back! :)
he played it good but the system adds to many delays on the switches and it cut out a section of the intro 0.0 and why didnt it add the other guitar without it it sounds wierd
Hey Nick would you say this solo is harder than the Cowboys From Hell solo? It doesn't look like an insane solo but still difficult. Great playing by the way, can't wait for more vids XD
I don't hit them all the time either. I found the best place to land them is just behind the neck pickup for the 8a and a little farther back toward the bridge pickup for the 9d... At least for my guitar.
Thanks a lot guys for the comments and I appreciate you watching... I am glad you enjoyed it!
Dude, you kicked so much ass on that solo the game couldn't register it correctly to give you 100%!!!
Dude there's no way the game taught you this lol you had to have known the song to begin with. Great job.
Dimes riffs and solos always kick ass
Totaly agree, what an amazing talent he was!
Hell yea Dime is the only reason why i even wanted to pick up the guitar
Rest in Power, Dime... Your riffs and solos are just too epic
Originally just planned to watch a minute of this. Ended up watching the whole vid and singing all the words with a tear in my eye.
Dime, you will never be forgotten.
that riff with the pitch harmonics, i love it
RIP Dimebag Darrell
RIP Dime
Mind was blown. Had to go find sunglasses just so I could take them off for the solo. Good work mate
great job, i just started myself, this is inspiring!
Jaw dropped when you hit that solo like a boss. Nice job! One of my fav songs by them.
I've never known much about playing guitar. but I've always loved the art, and the huge amounts of notes to hit on the screen really show the talent required to do it correctly. I might get into actually playing with this game.
Very nice. The solo fucks me up but you pretty much killed it. Mad props.
That solo was absolutely incredible man, just insane.
Just managed to get to 3 minutes in today with every note but after that it goes right over my head. Well done dude.
Effen awesome. Thanks for getting me inspired to try this!!!
Awesome dude! Thank God having Pantera Cemetery Gates on Rocksmith. I need this Game!!!
Thanks Victor. Sooooo glad to see Cemetery Gates made the game... Seriously one of my favorite tunes of all time!
Freaking KILLED it! Well done!
Thanks bro!
You did so well on that sick as solo!
That solo, Holy crap. That will take me a while. Nice playing.
you sir, just got another subscriber!! i love your music and have been following you since rocksmith 1 but seeing you play this song has made my up my mind. you are one hell of a guitarist and i can't wait to see you grow as a musician
Wow Jeffery, thanks for the very kind words man. Still a long ways to go, especially in the musician department, but I'll stick with it!
You better! i'd hate to see talent get wasted
Excellent! Kudos. I "just" practiced this for an hour and a half on 2014, but I'm doing rhythm at 50% difficulty. I have a loooooooooooong way to go.
Nicely done, sir!!
Another awesome job!!! Thanks for posting!
Awesome as always nick ! You nailed the solo :)
Dude I have to get my hands on this! Great shit bro!
Awesome, as always!
That was awesome, great job!
Damn, nice solo chops, dude!
That was pretty good. I just picked up my Rocksmith today. I hope I can get to the point you're at eventually.
…very impressive. I just got Rocksmith 2014 and still struggle with the Interface... But 60 days they say. You are great..!
Nick Smith playing Rock Smith. Good Stuff
god damn it. awesome playing. Wish I was that good. Subscribing right now.
Killer job man!

this gave me goosebumps
Dudeeee nice play!
Great job man! I almost have the trooper learned then this is my next song to master.
Nice job Nick. My fingers would be spliced opened on some of those fast solos. lol
Cool, didn't even realise this had Pantera on it...
have you learnt to play only with rocksmith?
This song is quite fun on bass aswell.
you play very well and sound very well in rocksmith surronds
You actually got the solo? Holy shit. JOB WELL DONE.
Also why are there dislikes? He nailed it perfectly. You can't get a perfectly perfect score on this sort of stuff on rocksmith. Because quite often the game doesn't register harmonics, bends etc. It is possible though to get a song to 100+% on learn a song with making few mistakes.
Dude you killed the solo i can only dream to play at your level
You're pretty (fucking) good
Awesome.

That solo was nuts....turned my beard red..
man awesome job and dimebag would prob agree
Sounds like the real thing dude :)
You rock!
Hi I just want to ask what mode is this because I recently got rocksmith 2014 and can't find this mode
Dime would be proud
Sweet Jesus! You need a Snicker's Bar after playing that song...
Wow you kick ass man. Now if only I could play pinch harmonics I would be able to nail this song.. :(
On the bridges ("though all those complex year, I thought I was alone"...) you should use slide instead of hammer ons.
Show! Awesome! \o/
The idea behind this is good but how the hell can you see the chords coming so fast?
i cant play long notes in rocksmith. what should i do??
What are the things called that you play like all the strings
3:03
Love playing this song but I suck at pinch harmonics
Hey question curious as to how you made the video how you record yourself in the screen hope they made sense lol
Cool
Question: did you learn how to play this song from the game or did you already know how to play it beforehand?
I'm pretty sure he learned it beforehand..
from the description: "Also my first time learning it on the guitar"
u really rock man congrats jejejej
subbed and ur awesome, i have one question whats ur guitar and where did u buy it.
RAD!
Through the fire and flames on Guitar Hero is baby food compared to this game and all the songs on it.
Fuck it was awesome!!!
Damn!
You sir need to make a band
I'm getting into RS2014 myself. I had the original and I never enjoyed it as much as this. those chords with the arrow things going to either side, what are they, and how do you play them. I cant find them in the lessons, so i have no idea what im supposed to do with them.
imo that are hammer ons and pull-offs
the only thing that i can't get is those damn pinch harmonics
Dat Solo...
How did you get this song?
I have the game but I'm waiting on the console to run it and I looked online for this song specifically and could not find it on their list.
It should be a standard song in the game. No DLC required for this one!
How long sis it take you?I just got the game for chrismas and I wanted to know how long it took you to get to that level? :D
how long did it take you to get the pinch harmonics down???
So .. How long have you been playing? I play guitar since 2 years and I would never be able to do something this good.
Lol nice at doing the pinch harmonics I hate how it doesn't register when you do that I also do the pinch harmonics and it does the same thing
a week ago in 2004, he was murdered by a lunatic
Rest in Power, Dime
eh ur axe is with EMG's, aye?
So it's pretty much tabs but flipped upside down?
I'm on iPhone and I can watch this video. It's not blocked on mobile devices
Same
awesome job! does the game make you do the pinch harmonics part yourself or is it automatically done?
Thanks Mike! You have to play the pinch harmonics part yourself, which is great. In fact, the only thing the game really provides is the tone for the song, the notation (how they transcribed it), and the song to jam with. It is up to you to play notes along with the song.
Awesome I'm glad to hear that. Cant wait to try to learn this song lol
Nick Smith Are there difficult songs in this program? Or whatever it is? Or are these fan made like with guitar hero? I mean, rob Marcello, Batio, becker, stuff like that.
Does anyone know how can I import songs from Rocksmith to Rocksmith 2014?

he played it good but the system adds to many delays on the switches and it cut out a section of the intro 0.0 and why didnt it add the other guitar without it it sounds wierd
That.. was pretty frickin' awesome. What guitar are you using if you don't mind me asking?
i think thats a LTD KH-602
jeez how many notes the game dropped while you did pinch harmonics :/ did you find a way to play them and still get credit for them ?
Hey Nick would you say this solo is harder than the Cowboys From Hell solo? It doesn't look like an insane solo but still difficult. Great playing by the way, can't wait for more vids XD
Hmmm... I would give the edge to Cemetery Gates in terms of difficulty but not by much. They are both amazing though... Dimebag at his best IMHO!
Did you learn to play on Rocksmith itself or separatedly?
I wonder because of the legato in the solo. Does Rocksmith teach that?
I learned to play the song based only on the tab in the game, which does include the tab for the legato run in the solo.
Nick Smith Not the song, I mean guitar in general. Did you take guitar lessons?
Does this game reach you how to red notes?
y rock
the pinch harmonics are difficult for me to get consistently
I don't hit them all the time either. I found the best place to land them is just behind the neck pickup for the 8a and a little farther back toward the bridge pickup for the 9d... At least for my guitar.
how quick you play
