    • @logisticalstyles
      @logisticalstyles  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      MY first Twelve MKI had a motor issue that had to be sent off to get fixed. The returned unit was damaged so I complained and Rane sent me a new Twelve which hasn't had any issues at all. I gave it a full year without issues before I decided to get a second Twelve and that is when the MKII was released. Hopefully Rane resolved whatever motor issues they went through with the previous editions of the Twelve.

    Love your videos Bro. Keep up the good work. I have a question that I am hoping you can answer. I currently switched from the Numark V7 to Turntables and noticed that when I move the pitch slider the wavelength / beatgrid would not expand or contract as it would on some controllers. For example if I am moving the pitch slider to match a song playing at 122 BPM up to another song at 124 BPM only the BPM values would change. The actual wavelength / beatgrid would not change to match the other song. Can you tell me if the rane twelves are the same or if they actually make the wavelength / beatgrid expand or contract as you move the pitch slider.
    Thanks

      @logisticalstyles  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, I don't have the Twelves any more but when I used them with my Numark scratch I used them connected to a USB 3.0 hub. It sounds like you need to calibrate the pitch on one of your Twelves. I had an issue where the speeds would not match up and it ended up being the pitch calibration. Look through my list of videos for Rane Twelve Pitch Calibration. I hope that helps.

    Hey, love your informative videos. Just a quick question. do you know if there is any way to connect to the Rane Twelves to a non-serato mixer like the Behringer DDM4000?. I currently have two Numark V7 and want to upgrade to the Rane Twelves but would love to keep my DDM4000. I was wondering if I could use the Denon DS1 to make this work.

    • @logisticalstyles
      @logisticalstyles  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching! If you have the Denon DS1 then you can use your mixer with the Twelves. The Twelves are just a Serato accessory, so they can be added to any Serato DJ set up. The V7s are a little different because they have a Serato soundcard built into them while the Twelves are just MIDI controllers.

    For this setup, do you plug each Rane 12 into the computer via USB, and then connect the Numark Scratch mixer to the computer via USB as well?
    So the Rane 12s wouldn't be directly connected to the mixer (when in USB mode, not DVS).

    • @logisticalstyles

      Thanks for watching the video! The Rane Twelve MKI had two versions before the official MKII was released . The original Twelve with the ports and power switch on the back used the tool. Rane released another version with recessed ports and power switch on the bottom. That one came with the quick release adapter and is also technically an MKI.

      Thanks for checking out the video. The biggest difference I noticed between the modes was USB mode is more consistent. When in DVS mode I could see some very small changes in the BPM like you would see on a normal turntable. USB mode kept a consistent BPM.
