I think Mauga has been the bane of every player’s existence
its kinda fun to play, i have like 10 tank games in ow2 so far and it has been alright. besides the support that don't play ana/kiri, its been interesting for sure. i was pleasantly surprised.
@@rjv-rw2ef I mean, he surely is fun to play *as* , less fun to play *against* or *with* after like 10th game where you have to go ana/kiri or take a free L.
@@bohdanpyzh2712 thats pretty true, if your support dont switch you are basically evaporated. he either wins fights instantly or is not really viable.
Mauga is so boring for the game
I don’t find him fun at all, as, with or against him. Can’t wait for Blizzard to destroy him as they always do so we can finally enjoy a real meta without just 2 maugas staring at each other
This isn’t your fault flats but holy shit Mauga duals are the most boring thing. It is literally a “who has better support/dps” and nothing else.
Dps don't matter. It's always about the supports. I say this as a support main. I hate mauga because it's basically put me in ana jail. And if my other support (when I'm not queueing with my duo) doesn't go kiriko or like even bap and we have mauga we insta lose. Can't cleanse purple and he just blows up. Had an ashe go 51 8 with mercy pocket but we still lost because our mauga kept getting rolled over. Our sojourn had like 18k damage and it didn't matter. Haven't been playing much ow recently cause of mauga. It's just not fun for anyone involved
I dont even know how people find his kit fun. Like, ur just there holding 2buttons the entire time without doing nothing else smh. People find that shit funny cuz they're just annihilating everyone since Mauga so busted. Once he gets nerfed, those "Mauga mains" will stop playing him im sure. Fuck this character, and fuck everyone who likes him.

You know what I just realized, switching from Tank to support main in OW2 no one begs me to swap to deal with anything. Yea people say “we don’t need this, that” but I climbed. Being a tank in OW 2 is constantly being asked to swap and make those swaps (if I could play that character) just to have the enemy tank run over your back line 💀. I could be wrong though
As a person who has a bias with zen and refuses to see anything wrong with him, discord didn’t do anything! Reverse the nerf! (I am huffing enough copium to kill a tribe)

Ya it’s freaking hilarious. Mauga just gives sojourn unlimited charge to kill the rest of his team from range even though he himself can’t die without being antied.
You aren't playing correctly, dont be afk, get aggressive and in your foes face as the character was intended to do
Mei is the bane of the game as a whole.

Nah Mauga takes the cake, boring 1v1s that last 10 secs or more of just looking at each other moving 1 ft in total.

@@thelividdeads difference is, there is counter play to comps that have a Mei in it. Mauga IS THE defining hero in the game right now.

Mei is insanely good in the Mauga mirror. When the Maugas Cage each other, Mei's Blizzard is the decider. And if the enemy Mauga tries to run, stop the with wall. It is brain dead simple.
I feel like there's not enough emphasis on Mauga's charge and stun. Sigma tries to rock the Mauga? Short-Charge. Sigma does his suck? Short-Charge and stun him out of it. Moira ults? Jump on her head and end it! Enemy Mauga uses his Cardiac Arrest? Jump on his head!
I wish the enemy just had a Cardiac arrest, would make the game more fun

Too strong? Death isnt even considerable
I personally feel that they need to start over with that ability before he finally ends up in a good spot
Maybe just buff the amount of healing he gets for himself and decrease his damage a lot. If he’s going to have great sustain at least he shouldn’t always have the most damage in every single lobby.
@@juveintheusa6261 I that would still just make him a brick wall and make him just a secondary orisa I'd rather he do damage and not be able to eat a nuke to the face
Plus if they make his damage even lower than it is rn his poking just won't exist and I like playing far with mauga it's part of the fun
@@sebastianrodriguez8992 maybe reverse damage fall off. He could do less damage up close but still good damage by sheer number of bullets, and then higher damage at distance to still be able to poke. In his current state he’s both not fun and waaay overturned. Can’t really touch his sustain or he’s not viable so decreasing his damage against other tanks specifically is probably the place to start.

Trying to cook: Tank passive also gives resistance to negative status effects, like discord (damage multiplier), sleep and purple (duration), hack (cast time), mei slow and ult (slow level), captive sun (damage?)...

Makes too much sense. Sleep and knock back already are less for tanks so maybe they’ll add more to that eventually.

That mauga gameplay looked awful to play, just shooting at the other mauga and hoping Ana gets a big anti or a dps can distract a support for a couple seconds to have mauga pop
strangely enough its still better than standing there doing nothing or exploding immediately. sadly this is an improvement to the tank experience.
@@rjv-rw2ef You really believe this is better for the tank experience? I want to play Winton. Before Mauga I could just pick monke in any situation and make it work. With Mauga I CANT FUCKING PLAY WINTON EVER. Only time I go Winton is when they don't pick Mauga. I will swap instantly when I don't see a Mauga. Standing in one play shooting at another mauga and hoping for the best is not a step forward for the tank experience. It is quite unenjoyable.
@@ynotsammy dive was already ok before mauga, not great but ok. you are right that mauga requires certain counters, but id remind you that this is a new hero. i cant tell you how many widow mains where WEEPING when Illari launched. absolutely weeping. no one plays Illari now, its a meme. do i think its a better tank experience? for me yes because i feel like i matter now, impact. it wont last tho because he will get nerfed eventually.

As a mauga main i agree it boring af i prefer when he was weaker since the duels felt a bit better but these current mirrors are just down to who's support is better 90% of the time

Mauga is actually pretty bad on maps with environmentals. As a rein only it’s the only time you can win the tank fight, good thing Mauga players become morons when they click on their hero!

No, Flats already said before that he and a few streamers/gm players grouped up together in a custom where Mei was a tank and it was awful to play against. If Mei is already tanky why would you want to make her more tanky?!
Mei practically is a tank. She has practically two health pools of 250 hp and a wall for further damage mitigation. She’s just a small tank.

Im fine with Mei being a bit more tanky if i dont have to deal with her AND roadhog. She shouldnt get a pass for essentially being a tank just cause she is already essentially already a tank. The argument literally defeats itself.

@@juveintheusa6261 I feel we agree but come to opposite conclusions. Yeah, shess already essentially a tank, in a game they removed second tanks from. Her kit already plays like a tanks, and she is consistently complained about in her current role. She has been a consant must pick for brawl in every season and meta in OW2 BECAUSE she is a second tank.
But shes the only hero who does that. If they made the game 1 tanks per team there shouldnt be one single hero that essentially allows you to run 2 tanks but only if you play them. I would love for off tank to be a thing again but it simply isnt.
Either give us a brawler type of DPS class, and move some tanks who desperately need help (ball, arguably others) to it, or admit Mei is essentailly 90% of the way to tank anyway and actually pull the fucking trigger.
Does Mauga still hold the dmg reduction and cc immunity at the end of his charge when he jumps?

I get that. As a support player, im not gonna play the same two heroes over and over again when i think the others are funner. It's a weird dynamic at the moment

maybe just my games, I find Mauga games just boring AF. If this is whats to come from Blizz on future Tank heroes, I have less interest in this game in my rotation.
Just remove Mei and you instantly improve the Tanking experience tenfold.
Everyone still coping about mauga but no one plays him or against him correctly. After i watched the enemy mauga bait his charge and flats got stunned i knew he was dead because the burst damage it does and it got him closer for more damage. If flats used the charge more like the enemy did you'd win way more 1v1s.

Mauga v mauga is so boring. You are constantly critting each other not even having to go for headshots. It literally feels like orisa v orisa all over again. Neither one can die. It’s just based off of supports or burst damage. It’s so boring to watch. As much as i love you flats. Just staring at mauga the whole time literally puts me to sleep.
