I answered in German to the comment of GermanFrankie...I'll try to say the essential in English J.Kaufmann is a lyrico -spinto Tenor,so his voice can sound in the lower tones nearly as a Bariton,but he is a Tenor and his voice has rich tones ...and is wonderful,even if GermanFrankie doesn't like it...

Bekomme gerade einen Lachkrampf. Kenne mindestens 20 deutsche Tenöre, die besser singen! Außerdem ist er vom Timbre her kein Tenor, sondern ein Bariton!
