    There aren't as huge distances in Europe or Japan as in the USA where people use airplanes instead of train. Actually you can find an airport in any major cities in the USA so almost every area is accessible by air.

    Germany, I have to say that you have the overall best high speed trains for me. You have the most beautiful routes as well. If I had to stick with one country in TS apart from mine (Spain), it would be you. The only pity for me would be your difficult language, but I guess everything is learning something to then know something, hehe!

    @Trainmaster189 I can only think of two reasons. One, since they were the "Bahn Frei!" ad trains, it could have been a publicity move. Two, they could have been two trains bound for two destinations, but had to travel on the same line at the same time before splitting off.

  • @topsander
    @topsander 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @eurodestination You can see two Dutch trains (ICM (02:32)and DD-AR(02:28) at the station. Both are Dutch trains. So I think it really has to be a Dutch station. Because the ICE doesn't pass too many Dutch stations, it has to be Utrecht Centraal, Arnhem or Amsterdam Centraal. I've never been at Arnhem, but I know the stations of Utrecht and Amsterdam quite well and I think this station really looks like Amsterdam Centraal..

    @kevinmohlen13 I know... I travelled from Mannheim HBF to Utrecht yesterday. Because work on the railroad the train didn't start in Basel, but in Karslruhe. Because work on the station of Arnhem the train entered The Netherlands around Venlo. This is only temporary, of course. Because of those things, it took a little more time to get from Basel to Utrecht, but it was still a great experience to travel with the ICE 3. I'll post one or more vids of the track between Frankfürt and Cologne soon.

    • @matsv201
      @matsv201 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      ploopy523 No, it cant. It got soft bogier. If it go any faster then about 255km/h, the boggier will wobel. At speeds of about 280 the wobel will be that hard so it will derail or not be able to accelerate any more. Also, you wold destroy the rails.
      ICE-T uses pendalino boggier. The pendalino is a derivative of the X2000 that done that testing back in the 80-tys.

    Highspeed tracks cost a lot of money and the US train companys dident want to invest this money because they want quick profit and no longterm expensive investment. The european and asian highspeed rails are stateowned and fast public transport is there seen as usefull as superhighways. At the end, they make good profit, but it is realy a huge investment - like the Hoover dam.

    @SirAvalord It's all about "priorities". Where I am from, the emphasis is upon "militarism"...and, the obscene, bankrupting expenditures inherent in such a negative, futile preoccupation. Germany focuses upon a solvent, viable future...and, the well-being of its citizens...

    Yeh they are good, but they don't actually go quite as fast as TGV's as some of the lines are old still. The new lines in Germany are 300kmh, however, which is great.
