Can You please make a video about how you get rid of all your old camera gear and personal belongings. How did you pair down your kit so quickly? What was the process going from Wedding film school to Mr. Nomad?
Good job Kraig! I've walked the Camino de Santiago (800km/500miles) and I lived out of my 8kg (16pounds) backpack for one month while I was uploading daily vlogs shooting with a Sony rx100 IV editing on my iPad. Definitely one of the most challenging things I've ever done but well it was great and when I went back home, surrounded again by all my stuff I felt really bad :(
It's so awesome to see this and the Sweden video since running into you at Saints Coffee and hearing that you were getting ready to travel out of NYC. I'm excited to follow along and hear more about what led to your decision to pack up and head out for a bit .. or for a long time. Excited!
My cousin wrote a book called Moment In The Sun about his journey traveling across country on a bicycle with his guitar and $600, feels like you're about to go on your own similar journey:) Loving this tho, I doubt I could slim down to just a backpack but this is super motivational. I've always wanted to travel more, this has got me pumped for some road trips of my own!
A video from Kraig is one of the best notifications you can get. Kraig can you talk about your thoughts on the Minimalism documentary? I love it! I don’t know if you’ve shared before, but I’d love to hear what you have to say on it!!
I'll miss that wall with the soundproof tiles. Anyways, I'm excited to see what kinds of videos the nomad lifestyle inspires! P.S. can we get continuous backpack tours every 6 months or so thx
This is great Kraig! I listened to your podcast on it as well and I’m so stoked for you! It’s funny, FunforLouis has just now settled down and finished his nomadic adventures and now you are starting yours - however your way of going about it and your whole kit plan is much more favourable to me than Louis since I, too, would like to have that freedom to roam with less kit dragging you down - especially in more remote area making doc films. If you’re ever down in Cornwall UK, hit me up and we’d be happy to give you a spot to crash for a couple of nights - maybe even go on a bicycle tour around the south! Take care and Godspeed :)
Great video man. Im the guy who sent you that snap awhile back about how you've changed my life bro with minimalism. Anyways great video and very inspiring. Still going through many of my things and slowly getting rid of stuff. Intentional and what brings meaning to me.

Finally, after avoiding all nature stuff (I was really paranoid about germs in my eyes) I can finally go enjoy the outdoors without worrying about a clean area to remove or put on my contacts. I refused to wear my glasses despite it being designer glasses and costing me well over $1500. :/
Great video! On a related note, getting lasik done is an excellent idea. Life becomes so much easier! You might consider getting it done from a top hospital in a different country to save on the $$.
