We were taking Jon boats out at 10-11 all day long in the early 80’s, it was a non issue, 12-13 moved up to 17ft plus central consoles etc. Raise your kids to know how to do stuff and it’s just normal. I see no reason at all to doubt the operation of that boat, I would be proud.
