Gosh, were those YOUR sunglasses resting on the dash there, or were those Brad's ? 😎 I drove 6-71's, 6v-71's, and 6v-92's but the only 8's that I ever ran were of the 92 variety. And depending on the setup, they can be obnoxiously loud, too. Just not as blatty as the 71's, though. Wasn't a huge fan of them, but they did have their place. The Louisville's were another story. Great hard-working, basic trucks, that served well, until they became Aeromax and then Sterling. That was the beginning of the end, before Freightliner finished it all off. Oh well. Thanks for preserving at least one example.
Good shifting and somebody can't be scared of a gear stick and drive a bus motor. I drove a mixer with a 6-71 and a 9-speed O.D. Roadranger. Wished it had a 13-under, a Spicer 4x4 or a quad. Keep her screaming!
