I love how Simon started very sane and tame with his normal channels and all the new channels are just video evidence of his descent into madness
danny see my ditto comment above
I prefer to think of it as an ascent into madness.
I suspect what pushed him over was his trip to Australia where a Roo "destroyed his body". She got him drunk on Fosters ... 😆
🤣🤣💞
I've noticed this too. I've kinda wondered if it is madness or parenthood.🤣
If anyone is curious what Alexandra said at 1:12:15 here it is:
"Just then, Alex decided to chime in and ask what a ghost ej*culated when he org*smed. 'Was it semen? Was it dust? Or was it ectoplasm?' At this point I was seized by a blind panic that we might get thrown off the tour. So I grabbed Alex by the shoulders and steered her toward the exit, while she was still cackling and making a joke about 'ectoplasm bukk*kes.' The tour guide thankfully did not throw us off the tour. He manfully took it on the chin. The jokes, I mean. Not ectoplasm."
Okay yeah, Alex is an absolute legend. I'm guessing you spent most of this tour wiping your eyes from laughter tears. Also, dusty ghost ectojaculate is not something I expected to be contemplating tonight, yet here we are.
@@semaj_5022 lol
You guys are awesome.
Thanks. I was genuinely curious as to what she had said.
Bravo on the fantastic script, sir! Really enjoyed the “monkeys in shoes” Tim Minchin nod 😆
"You're naked, you're slippery, and there's no weapons nearby..."
Almost described a perfect night.
...almost?
Sounds like the mosin naugat fanbase
Sounds like a proper party
Almost. A perfect night has at least two weapons nearby.
@@buttsexandbananapeels that's me in a nutshell
Still one of the best episodes on this channel… we need a “Continuing Adventures of Alex and David” series
Agreed
It's out!!! Part 2
I'd probably listen to just "Adventures of Alex" 😂
It definitely withstands the test of time, it's a classic.
After a busy day of physics and spear fishing, Alex kicks back by punching ghosts - all while in a red sequined dress.
ABSOLUTE. LEGEND.
Our world is not ready for such a queen!!

I really am loving David's writing for this. It's so much fun getting a light hearted side of him with just a pinch of snide comments on the paranormal. Keep up the great writing David!
Agree! David always gets stuck with the really dark stuff, so I love seeing what he does with silly cases!
Thanks!
Awesome job David! I really enjoyed your adventure. Alex sounds like a proper legend.
@@docdavidbaker good stuff 👌👌👌
Ahh, perfect timing. My podcast app kept crashing so I was like, “hmmm wonder if fact boy has any new ones I can watch on TH-cam” 🙌
@@jmax8692 Well, you didn’t use a period Jay. This is a TH-cam comment not an academic paper.
Podcast app keeps crashing you say? Have you considered ghosts? My app does that when it gets possessed by demons. Send your phone off to get exorcised. It’s the only option now I’m afraid.
I am a professional phone exorcist, you can definitely send it to me and when - I mean *if,* I find it to be too haunted I'll dispose of it safely myself.
You can totally trust me. ;)
Love all the replies even the grammar ones so funny
Factboy has 13 channels on TH-cam so soon almost all of TH-cam will be new factboy content 😄 AND IM NOT COMPLAINING 🤘😂
I now want to watch the David and Alex drunkenly yelling at ghosts TV Show.
Lol
Might be Simon's new TH-cam channel?
@@movingforward3030 That’s partly what I said😂😂.
I drunkenly yell at ghost TV shows... WHAT THE BLOODY HELL EVERYONE KNOWS GLASS GOES BOTH DIRECTIONS WHEN IT BREAKS!
I wish Alex were gay, I would marry him in a heartbeat.
Watching Simon try to explain in a non-weird way why everyone knows what the taste of blood is is hilarious when he could just say, "We've all lost baby teeth."
Almost as good as his suggestion to "rent a van and take all your haunted paintings to... I don't know, a farm or something... and burn them in a big pile LIKE A NORMAL PERSON."
@@michellee1190 for what it's worth, as a normal person, if I had a large quantity of haunted paintings I needed to burn, finding a large field or farm would probably be my first idea.
That just doesn't gel with Simon's "speak first, think later" mentality. Now, when I watch one of his more straightforward channels without tangents, I'm completely distracted, trying to imagine his rambling internal monologue blazing beyond the glazed look in his eye as he reads on autopilot.
well... you only know how your own blood tastes unless you're a psycho
That's also how I know how baby's teeth taste like. After 100's of them,I can confirm they taste a bit like blood, but mostly like fingernails.
I cracked up when Simon went on a tangent about whether or not David was a skeptic literally right before the line “I’m the kind of skeptic…”
I watched the alien big cats video right before this one and couldn’t stop laughing that Simon went on like a 20 minute tangent on “why are they called ‘alien’ big cats” and literally the next line was “Alien in this context means…” lmao
I love it when that happens
Simon your channels need a "Tangent Counter" in the corner to keep count for us. Love all your channels. Keep em coming
Absolutely he should have a tangent counter!!
In reality, Simon did a 1.5 hour plug for a cool tourist spot in Australia. Will 100% go there if I ever get to Australia, this place sounds awesome.
As an Australian there is nothing cool here its hot af, the locals here are bogans like me and we have everything from funnel web spiders, death adders and box jellyfish out there to f your day up
I’m originally from relatively near Sydney and I’d never heard of it. Now I really want to go!
@@foxtailedcritter That's what you would say if there's loads of cool shit there you want to keep for yourself. I'm coming to Australia for sure now.
The Q-Station is well worth a visit! Sydney-sider here, we've been a couple of times. Apart from the history of it, the harbour location is GORGEOUS.
I go to the Q Station pretty frequently. It’s stunningly beautiful, there’s good food and drink, and the museum’s really well put together. The carvings are unexpectedly interesting as well.
I wish the drunken paractuallynormal adventures of David and Alex becomes a series this is great
:)
Oh god, I haven't laughed this hard in a while.
That’s fantastic! Much better than the name I chose. Dang! Now I’m sad I can’t watch right this minute!😁👏🏽👏🏽
@@docdavidbaker David, do you have a feed I can follow to get all the episodes of everything you write? Because this was by far my favourite episode of Decoding the Unknown and you are fantastic.
Let's be real, Alex is a legend and should definitely do these ghost tours with David to write it up later. 😆
Listening to Simon pronounce ‘echidna’ gave me so much joy ☺️🤣
The echidna was named after a Greek goddess. It's not even an Australian word. 😅
I love how David and Alex think "This guy got high and went on a ghost tour", or that "the group had a party vibe going on - maybe something was ingested before the start", while completely forgetting the 2,5 bottles of wine they drank. You were doing the same thing 😆
Simon, sorry I’m late if you already know this by now: To Fix Your Printing Issue: when you go to print the document make sure to uncheck or change the option to “Fit to Page”. With this not selected your page will be printed at the correct font size. Hope this helps. Least I can do for all the great content from all your channels! Blaze on, I say.
could also make sure the paper size didn't get set to US-Letter instead of A4 (I'm in the States; the opposite problem sometimes happens here)
One of the best scripts! Please send them on other drunken ghost hunting trips. Loved it!
This script is epic. Alexandra sounds like an absolute bad ass. And I totally want in on David's next ghost hunt. I would love to get more of these personal experience stories. Maybe we can figure out more about the enigma that is Danny.
I think the fact you don't speak to your writers outside of these videos, is incredible. I also think it benefits us, the viewers, as well as it gives the scripts a much more natural read. Allowing Simon AND us understanding more & more about the writers, and them (the writers) learning more about Simon/Us from our reactions & Simon's rants. I love it!
I couldn't agree with you more! It was actually that aspect of Simon's Channels that hooked me... The fact that he is kinda exploring the script as be records each one ... That also makes for some really awesome Tangents from him.... I haven't been able to actually decide which of his channels are among my favorites...
The basement door has to be very thick and sound proofed.
I absolutely love this show it makes me laugh so much the format is perfect the fact that Simon doesn't read the script and he is able to experience the humor along with the audience is an Award-winning combination
This was a very good addition to the content on this channel. Always enjoy the hour + videos from Simon's ever expanding plethora of channels.
Glad to hear it!
@@docdavidbaker the fact that you actually take the time to read AND answer comments is just lovely. Awesome script as always.
@@alirezakhoshbakhtian people spend 90 minutes of their day listening to something I wrote. Gotta engage as much as I can! And thanks. :)
Yeah, I really enjoyed it!
@@docdavidbaker Just wanted to say: Legend.
“Drunk as a hobo’s fart” is now going to be a phrase I use from now on! 😂
Lol
me too 😂😂
It's up there with "higher than giraffe pussy" for me.
I work Sterile Processing in a hospital. It's incredible efficient technology. To answer Simon's question, why are we still using steam is because it works. Steam is capable of getting to surfaces that light can't. Also considering the number of sets/instruments we sterilize at a time
SPD buddies!!
How do you make sure you deal with prions
@@personzorz In my facility any known or suspected (incredibly rare) CJD cases are performed with single use instruments and should be disposed of at point-of-use after the procedure. Should any instruments from that type of case come down to decontamination- our manager has said he would personally put on the ppe to take care of the instruments and have them disposed of safely to be destroyed.
@@personzorz i think once we got a blood test from someone with Creuzfeldt Jacob disease to the serology lab. We disinfected all the machines it had been through extra thouroughly with cleaning agents.
Ah yes the ‘smoke test’ they do at my compounding pharmacy is fascinating! We have to be 100% since we make those TPN bags.
5⭐️s, Simon, David & Alex! I would def watch that show, too. “Taking the piss out of of ghosts” w/Alex & David. Sounds great! TH-cam has a vacancy & I’m sure Simon has room to narrate one more channel😁.
I come back every now and then and listen to this specific episode because it's just so fun 😂
Ah yes, 1,5 hours of pure and unfiltered ghost ranting
Bloody ghosts.
@@decodingtheunknown2373 Search "either the third or fourth floor is crazy" in r/WTF on reddit.

Those darn ghosts. Making Simon crazy! 😂
@@davidg5898 Awesome! Hopefully it’s the one & he’ll read it on the channel like he said👏🏽👏🏽. Good looking out👍🏽.
@@decodingtheunknown2373 Personally I'd *MUCH* rather watch a show about a bunch of sceptics getting drunk. & walking around 'supposedly haunted' places provoking ghosts. (Sort of Drunk History meets Ghost Adventures.)
& then going back doing a walk through the next day sober. Than a show with paranormal investigators who actually believe in ghosts & are trying to talk to them.
Speaking of Ghost Adventures, that would actually make for an amazing cross over. Watching the two groups interact & both trying (& failing). To convince the others that they're right, & the other guys are wrong. As a matter of fact, it would be absolutely Fucking Hilarious to watch!
🚫👻 vs ✅👻 🤣👍
I'm a simple man; I see Simon shit on the paranormal, I click like.

I need to hear more drunken, ghost hunting escapades of these two. I would subscribe to a channel of just that!
Hands down one of my favourite videos in the simonverse😂 Amazing
This is one of my favourite stories. It comes through my feed quite often and I always listen. Seeing Simon's reaction to the Australian content is just as amusing as the story itself.
This was both completely MENTAL and totally EPIC 🤣 well done to all!
Thanks!
Alexandra sounds amazing, I’d love to hear more of her and Dave’s adventures.
She is. And maybe!
Came here to say I’d love to hear the further adventures of Alex & David! I loved the look on Simon’s face when he realized what Alex was saying to the sex ghost! 😆
Same! David and Alex would be great, debunking ghost groups. Simon could
report on where they
went etc.
I found myself spending the entire podcast distracted imagining what this Legend-ess looks like 🤔
Okay so is the guy that wrote the script for the bald guy to read also the guy that went on the ghost adventure?? Or are they two different Davids?
Hey Simon, this might be one of my favorite channels of yours. I love the skeptical way you dive into the stories, and while I sometimes listen to Casual Criminalist it's often just too brutal for me, but this channel really has a similar vibe where you unravel mysteries (without the constant descriptions of murder) so I love it.
Ah, same. I loved casual criminalist in the beginning but lately it's gotten a little bit too graphic for me. This is perfect.
I guess Im just different from the majority...I often feel like CC overlooks certain details and descriptions. I enjoy #MrBallen storytelling and he doesn't hold back. It is disturbing.. not going to lie.. tho I feel that the victim's story and death.. what they endured needs to be told. These days it feels like we overlook or ignore other people's disparities.. because it makes us distraught and uncomfortable.. or we are so numb to the pain of others that we dont see them as people.. learning about their life and death is a way to empathize with them.. to know how horrible they left this world. Thats my opinion..
Lived in a haunted house. Saw the ghost who only appeared in a particular mirror ( standing in front of my bedroom door). He wasn’t scary, so I wasn’t scared. Saw him off and on from age 10 until age 18 when I moved away. My mom and sister also saw him, under the same circumstances, but I didn’t know this until we were discussing ghosts, at the dinner table when I was about 14. I’m 70 now. I still think about him (maybe 17-18, dark hair, lean, but not overly thin, and male). He would sometimes wake me up (most often by banging my headboard against the wall. Two beds in my room, but the other one never moved. He always stopped when asked. Mom died in 1999, and my sister in 2016. Not much of a haunted house, I know, but there you have it.
This episode is an ABSOLUTE LEGEND. Isn't that right Peter?
Not gonna lie, I’ve lived in the US my whole life and this is the first time I’ve ever heard “inside baseball.” Another example of Simon teaching me my own culture.
I think it's a bit of an outdated phrase. Probably popular in big baseball cities like Philly or NYC. But I'm just a humble Kentuckian with no real clue lol I've heard the phrase before once or twice though.
I'm wondering what part of the country it's from. Certainly not the Upper Midwest, since I've never heard of it. Granted, baseball isn't our thing up here.
@@emmarichardson965 I’m from St. Louis, which you’d think would be the city where that would come from if anywhere. 🤔
@@pert-smith a phrase we use in the southern USA is "preaching to the choir" .
I’m originally from just outside of Philly and I’ve never heard of it, lol. Maybe it’s very, very old
Oh god! Simon has so many people in the blazement now he’s had to start referring to them with their first names and last names initial!!😊😊😊😊
Im surprised you cant hear the clanking of chains and hammering of keyboards whilst he is trying to record the multiple videos...
And they can't communicate in any other way than through the scripts.
After watching Simons channels for a while now I can conclude: He believes in ghosts, he thinks the past was the very best and he loves Lord of the Rings
And he’s seen Star wars
🤣🤣🤣
Scathing sarcasm from Aragorn, son of Aragthorn😆
And his favorite recording artist is Yoko Ono.
He's also a super fan of all sports!
This is literally my favourite episode, I keep coming back to it 😂
The combo of drunk idiots, science and our hosts outrage is pure gold
Of all of Simon's videos that I have watched, this is hands-down my favorite. If I were to make all the comments I thought of, it would be as long as the video! Simon, if you ever make it back to Atlanta, I would love to have a conversation with you about ghosts, mediums, etc. I am sure we would both enjoy it!

I am actually bummed that this particular podcast ended. This was one of the best. Well done, David and Simon.
There is something about you that brings me peace despite the intrusive thoughts that haunt me. Thank you
Alex deserves her own show. She is a legend and sounds like a person I would want to meet. I would totally buy merch with her quotes.
An hour and a half? Oh boy, this is gonna be a wild ride, isn't it? XD

I really enjoyed this episode, great script and holy hell, does Simon's interjection make me laugh. Top content.

This episode is by far my favorite of this channel! Thank you Simon and David!!
And yes I am subscribed to all of Simon's channels
To my fellow apes... Sweet dreams and good night
Funny thing is, i watched this whilst living in a cabin in the woods. My wife, dog, and me have been here since late fall to early spring, most of the winter we were trapped. The woods we are in have all sorts of ghost stories, we've found it to be peaceful, as long as we have our supplies. Great vid!
To answer that question:
In early days of Christianity, suicide was an issue. Especially among the clergy. So the Catholic church said that anyone who commits suicide goes directly to Hell.
Is that a fact ? Is it not in the bible ? Just checked your right
Yeah, proving people heaven is real is all fun and games, until someone starts believing and kills themself.
@@angryatheist the original basis was killing people is wrong. Killing yourself is killing someone. But you're dead, you can't repent or make amends to the people you hurt - so yeah.... There is a logic.

23:53 I love ghost tours simply because one that is well done makes you feel far more immersed in the place than a regular tour. I think one of the best ones I went on reminded me that the ghosts aren't the echoes of the dead, but the stories we tell which keep their memories tethered to the living. If we continue to tell their stories in a way those memories never die even though the people did long ago. My favorite ghost tour was in New Orleans. I learned so much history, walked all over the city, and they were really helpful for setting an atmosphere. If I ever successfully see a ghost on one I'll let you know. I never have.
3:50 - Chapter 0 - The target
7:45 - Chapter 1 - The ghost hunters
13:25 - Chapter 2 - The plan
21:45 - Chapter 3 - Phase 1
31:30 - Chapter 4 - Dial M for Merlot
34:10 - Chapter 5 - The gas chamber
39:00 - Chapter 6 - The disappearing girl
43:05 - Chapter 7 - The acid showers & "shadowman"
55:40 - Chapter 8 - A merry jaunt to the morgue
1:05:35 - Chapter 9 - Mr Slimey
1:12:40 - Chapter 10 - The postmaster & the matron
1:17:25 - Chapter 11 - The gravedigger's cottage
1:24:05 - Chapter 12 - Monkeys in shoes
You certainly have a skill for naming invisible chapters. This is very useful!
EDIT: Okay, now that I've watched the episode I see you didn't name most of these chapters, but it's still much appreciated for when I accidentally jump to some random point in the episode...
MVP right here - thank you!
Yay, I really like David’s writing!

Drunken ghost hunters: 👻 sounds like this episode is going to be fun 🌸💗🌸
Acid ghost hunters 🙏
Thank you so much Simon and David. As an expat Ozzie living in a remote Balinese village where I can't speak my native language for months on end, listening to your interesting English-speaking stories every day is a blessing. And to hear a script from the ozziest of script writers, thank you David 🙏🙏🙏
Whomever, not sure of ALL of them, writes these scripts for Simon are absolutely brilliant! If you all don't already write novels, you should. I'd read every one of them. Your way with words, pacing, sprinkling in very cheeky and well timed jokes, awesome. Love it.
Between David's script and your delivery that was outstandingly hilarious to watch. Thankyou :)
Then you'll love brain blaze
Alex sounds awesome. I'd love to go on a ghost tour with her. Seems like I'd be laughing the entire time
Really enjoyed this video. Was a nice change of pace from the casual criminalist and I appreciate it being long aswell.🔥👏Good show all round.
Over a year later and still by far my favorite episode
37:39 "I don't know how it is in Australia. Are you just going around calling each other c-words all the time?"
As an Australian, yeah mate, we are. Fun story: a mate of mine got asked last minute to sit in on a job interview. He had no idea who they were interviewing, he just needed to sit there and take notes because HR reasons, I guess. Anyway he walks into the room, realises he knows the guy getting interviewed, and immediately goes: "Hey! What's up, c***?" He says he got in deep, deep trouble for it but it was worth it. The guy got the job, too. Straya!
As a fellow Aussie, I am LOVING Dave's writing and Simon's reactions!
I lived in Brisbane for 3 months back in 2009 and while back then I hated every minute of it, this video made me feel fair dinkum nostalgic!
@@inelouw Brizzie's way too hot & sticky for me. I'll stick to Sydney.
I thought Aussies would be exasperated by him not knowing what an echidna is or that calling "flip flops" thongs is actually correct. Thong sandals predate thong underwear. When I was growing up in the 90's in California it was still very common to say thongs so I found it funny that he thinks it's only Australians.
I love Simon's rants. It's entertaining.
This was fantastic. I really enjoyed how David wrote this story and would have loved to have been with them on this ghost hunting adventure. Alex sounds like a handful in the best way but both seem like they'd be great to hang out and bullshit over a few drinks with. Oh and Factboi is cool too, don't worry. Lol
my favorite part of this channel is how simon has never heard of anything.
This is THE greatest thing I have seen in a very long time. It chronicles an adventure I have dreamed of my whole life. Bring it ghosts! Awesome vid. This is the format to end all formats.
David is writing here....Katy in the basement with Danny, Sam, and Callum confirmed. Simon will need a bigger basement soon. And "secret project" David will be in there next
He's probably already there. Probably offered to write this episode for 10 minutes of fresh air outside. Allegedly
Is Callum okay? Have not heard from him in awhile.....🤔 🧐
Let's just hope Jen doesn't join them anytime soon
Lol
They are officially trapped in “The Naughty Box.”
That’ll teach them to try and escape.
How did Brain Blaze become more formal and structured than this channel?
Hahahahahaha
Simon has freed Danny , dr David is now surrounded by emus and being escorted underground ( and on a side not they’re actually threatening to make him drink fosters 🤷♂️)
I miss the old BrainBlaze format, the new one is ok but the old one was more enjoyable for me.
Lol I'm American and I've never heard the term 'Inside Baseball.' I guess I'm not in on the joke lmao
Not sure how I missed this one. Subbed since the start. Great story! David and Alex are absolute legends!
Thoroughly enjoyed this one!!! Great writing by David!!! Have been to Quarentine Station and the account is very accurate😂😂😂😂😂
Simon I’m 7 minutes in and this is the best episode yet. I absolutely love the tangents honestly it’s so enjoyable to hear about the process of making these and the fact bois life adventures
Really loved this episode! It was like the masked magician but with conspiracy theories & paranormal stuff! Def my fav of the channel!
An hour and a half of Simon dunking on ghosts? Count me in!
I love the new format. I listen to every video I can find while I work. Such a refreshing way to have serious(ish) topics presented in this way. I subbed every channel you have factboi even if I skip the serious ones 😉
As an Aussie, I love hearing David's scripts. It's rare to find Australian stories well told on social media but he manages to do both seamlessly. ❤
Getting drunk and filming myself walking around haunted buildings shit- talking ghost for TV... I've never wanted to do anything more in my entire life
David's paranormal investigative methods is reminiscent of me n my friends screwing with the ghosts haunting the house we lived in as teenagers(minus the wine). It worked, possibly too well, as we all saw, heard, and felt things that I still haven't found an explanation for.
Mental illness, confirmation bias or coincidence. You're welcome
I listen to the podcast, but wanted to comment. 🤣 First Dave and Alex sound like legends.
Second this is particularly cool to me as I’m from NSW (Newcastle way, uni in Wollongong) so know these places from trips to Sydney, I really like history (as I guess a lot of Whistler-followers do), and my job at the moment is actually doing the onshore medical assessments for people coming in to Australia. The government is still super concerned about TB, by the way. For good reason. Yet somehow I’d never even heard of this place! But yeah, next time I go back to Sydney I’m definitely going to go on a tour here!
Absolutely loved the format of this episode! More like this please
"The shoes you wear on a boat." Thanks Simon. Would never have guessed that's what boat shoes are 😂😂
David my man, if you have to ask who wears the pants in a relationship then it definitely is not you. 🤣
Too true
Small note but that animal whose name you had trouble pronouncing is said like "eh-kid-na" and they're adorable hedgehog-like creatures. A bit spikey, but certainly not dangerous
So... One of the few creatures that won't kill you... Good to know.
@@movingforward3030 It's an Austrian egg-laying mammal made of spikes. _Of course_ it will kill you. But only at close range.
They also have spurs like the platypus, but no functional venom glands.
The platypus has venom but generally isn't dangerous to people, beyond causing pain.
Since no one else has seen fit to mention this, they also have 4 headed p3n!ses
I only know how to pronounce echidna thanks to the Sonic the Hedgehog games
15:08 Let's be fair, though... seeing the ghost of a wooly mammoth or saber-tooth cat would be *cool as shit*
The letter your reference from a schizophrenia sounds a lot like interactions I've read about from people who are experiencing carbon monoxide poisoning, also. Very scary stuff.
Not going to lie, one of my favourite listens of the Whistler multiverse, thanks David.
David and Alex both sound great and I would totally drink wine and make fun of ghosts with them.
;)
Same here. He & Alex seem like fun.
I love watching Mountain Monsters, Ancient Aliens, The Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch, Skinwalker Ranch and Ghost Adventures. I don't exactly treasure any of it seriously, I prefer to think it's plausible and just enjoy the show. I was so bored while recovering grin a surgery I was binge watching Ancient Aliens and coming to with my own theories and texting my ideas to my sister to entertain her. It's just fun to forget reality for little while and pretend to take it very seriously and allow myself the occasional "awe". I looked at my husband at one point during a marathon of Mountain Monsters and says "In beginning to think this site might be scripted". We laughed and laughed, but it's so much fun pretending.
I am barely a skeptic but I always put those kinds of shows on to go to sleep 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. And they’re so scripted OMG.
PLEASE do more episodes like this one!
I absolutely love all of Simons channels but he’s pretty much an organic content farm lol. I have no complaints because all of the produce is factual, pure and done right lmaooo ( and i never run out of good content)
As an Australian, listening to Simon try and pronounce echidna was hilarious! 🤣
Also, I think I low-key want to marry Alex! (Even though I'm not into girls at all!😂)
The echidna was named after a Greek goddess. It's not an Australian word at all. 😂
I read a similar story to the one Simon mentioned about the paranoid tennant writing to their landlord, but the one I came across ended up being that the tennat was being essentially poisoned with carbon monoxide (or something along those lines) with very low doses that if you were to be exposed in a one off situation you wouldn't even notice it, but this guy was getting this dose daily to the point that it caused him to have schizophrenia. It wasn't until mich later that the person got some tests done (tennant originally had only gone psychologists and psychiatrists, not hospital type drs) that doctors figured out what was going on.
My downstairs neighbor would call the police on me all the time saying (among other things) that I would put on combat boots at 3 in the morning and march back and forth, that my son had broken into his house, with a key, and didn't touch anything, that I was welding in my apartment, that I was shining a laser light on his penis while he peed in his bathroom, etc. He called the landlord constantly , even the fire marshal a couple of times. Turns out he had brain cancer...
@@rainiaananda9327 “Shining a laser light on his penis while he peed” sounds so believable too! 😂 what did the police do?
@@jujutrini8412 rolled their eyes, shrugged and left. The landlord came in a few times to see if I had drilled holes in the floor to point a lazer into his bathroom. The fire marshals were PISSED though, that's when the landlord finally called his kids and told them they need to put pops in a home or something because he was going to get booted out if he keeps it up. Then it turned out he had brain cancer and all of the stuff going on in his imagination was pure reality for him. He stayed in the apt, and for the last year got nicer and nicer until he died. He once came up with a jello mold for Thanksgiving. My son said, don't eat it, he's so bonkers who knows what's in there. We put it down the sink. I actually felt bad about it, so I smiled and gave the dish back a couple days later and told him it was delicious.
I know the exact Reddit thread you're talking about, it's kinda famous. For some reason TH-cam on mobile won't let me post comments with links though.
There's also the story of the guy who kept seeing notes left around his house that he didn't remember writing, and things moved that he didn't remember moving. He was worried he had a squatter living in his house, ghosts, or he was just going crazy. The top comment told him to immediately check his house for carbon monoxide which showed he had a CO leak, hence the gaps in memory. It was actually him doing all that stuff and just not remembering because he was slowly being poisoned. Reddit likely saved his life.
Both are probably in the Museum of Reddit, I'll see if I can find them and hit you up on Twitter.
Yes, the carbon monoxide post was so amazingly creepy! I have seen many people pass along that info because of how popular that story was and help others either find out they were being poisoned or that they needed to see a psychiatrist.
My friend had his boiler serviced recently and found out he had a carbon monoxide leak and then realized why he had been having memory problems, confusion and sleep issues for MONTHS!
I'm so impressed they tested the dust particles! I believe there might be something ghost-wise but don't jump to an immediate yes or no, so I appreciate such dedication to research.
We are nothing if not quasi-professional when sober.
I've recently discovered this channel and have been binging, and what I've learned so far is:
1: Buy a Carbon Monoxide detector.
2: Don't get ticks.
