Natural Hair | Wash Day Routine after Protective Styling

  • This is typically how my wash day looks like after a month of protective styling. It's so easy to experience breakage if you do not carefully undo your protective style, detangle and wash it. My hair was super dry and dirty and this is how I restore it's life back hehe. I'm showing you all the products that I use and how I wash my hair efficiently. Share your thoughts on wash days in the comment section below. Don't forget to subscribe, like and share.

    For a month of protective styling, that's pretty good that your hair only shed that much

    Great routine. I absolutely love watching your videos...two questions...hehe
    1) Would you recommend protein treating before or after protective styling?
    2) Would you recommend trimming the hair before or after protective styling?

    • @SheilaNdindavideos
      @SheilaNdindavideos  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Awwwh thank you so much hun. Yes I absolutely recommend protein treatments before and after because they repair and strengthen our hair strands. But remember to balance protein and moisture to avoid breakage! Just analyze you hair situation and when you notice it's limp and mushy know it's time to do a protein treatment. You can trim your hair after protective styling, I normally trim mine after every 3 months.

    • @SheilaNdindavideos
      @SheilaNdindavideos  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm glad it did Lyndah! This is how you make black tea rinse.. Brew a cup of black tea using one tea bag and a cup of boiling water. Let it cool then put it in a spray bottle and viola you have your black tea rinse.

    Hii.. Love the video as usual... I have a question why do you use the three conditioners.. Vo5 to detangle can't you use the deep conditioner one to detangle then deep condition.... Then the leave in conditioner.. Is it necessary if you have done a deep condition.?

    • @SheilaNdindavideos
      @SheilaNdindavideos  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you dear. I use the VO5 conditioner to detangle my hair. It's important to use a conditioner with great slip while detangling to avoid pulling your hair which causes breakage. You can use your Deep conditioner to detangle but I prefer detangling first then apply my deep conditioner when my hair is already detangled. A Leave-in conditioner is very necessary in your natural hair journey- this infuses your hair with extra moisture because you have to rinse out your Deep conditioner. Hope this is helpful.
