Loved all of this. Even though you’re a new fan you have confirmed what we’ve been saying all these years, Dami being the best female kpop rapper and Siyeon being one of the best vocalists (at least in the 3rd/4th gen kpop) When you eventually get into their solo cover special clips you can tell by their song choice which type of music style suits each members vocals. Every member is different and I love that about them. Prior to the Dystopia series, Gahyeon had the least lines in songs but she always stood out to me because of her sassy winks and smirks. Lol 2020 has certainly become her era (I think partly due to Handong’s absence but she will catch up soon) I wouldn’t be so quick to pick your favorite song because the next song could be your favorite, and the next one, and the next one, and the next one... lol
I have a hard time comparing vocalists, but already I'm spoiled listening to Nightwish which is my fave band together with Dreamcatcher. I think technically no one compares to Floor (and if you like operatic Tarja), but she's a 100% singer, and while having tremendous stage presence she doesn't dance. Can you compare a gymnast and a swimmer who is a better athlete? The Dreamcatcher ladies kinda have a full time job as model doing photoshoots and promotions for each album, are 100% professional dancers and have to combine that with singing! You need to be so multitalented, and they are. Then how do you rate vocals if one can belt, another has a warm voice and another has a wide range of techniques. How much you like someone can also affect how you rate vocal quality. Even harder to rate rap. I used to hate it, now I like it if done well. Except if a song doesn't need rap, then even good rap feels squished in. I think rap is easier or faster to learn, easier to get away with bad technique if you have performance skill but very hard to do well.

I agree that it’s really not KPop. If the hallmark of kpop is a kind of “fun excess”, Break the Wall surprises in how simple and straightforward it is. It’s an authentic Western Rock song. To me it’s surprising that it was composed by Koreans (LEEZ & Ollounder), because in general I don’t think Koreans “get” Rock, esp not old-school Western Rock. I was so happy to hear my ult kpop group again doing things I never thought a kpop group would do. The style itself is executed very well; it’s a really good song. On top of that with a good message. I’m curious to hear if they revisit this style in the future! The next song on the album, Can’t Get You Out of my Mind, is also not a kpop song for similar reasons (although the genre is much different). I think they must be really acknowledging their International fans. Both songs lend themselves more to singing and less to dancing, and both would make amazing arena songs. I’ve heard that DCC wants to emphasize touring, and these are good songs to have in their touring repertoire and would be amazing in the West.
These days kpop is more of an umbrella term than one specific genre of music so it still is kpop, they just have a unique sound that lots of kpop artists esp girl groups veer away from

dreamcatcher are always innovating their sound, I love this song. it is very impressive. and Sua despite being the main dancer of the group is a great vocalist, she can easily be considered main vocal in any other group. A curious fact is that in fact Sua is the one with the highest vocal range, reaching even higher notes than Siyeon. all said by the same members
A lot of Dreamcatcher fans stan the producers as well. LeeZ and Ollounder are two of the best in the industry right now, between Dreamcatcher and ATEEZ, they have so many hits. Oh, also, if you're checking out Siyeon's cover, might as well check out Yoohyeon's cover of Secret Love Song as well. I don't think you've been able to really appreciate her vocals until you've heard it.
Dreamcatcher is always showing us something new, and the new thing that surprised me the most in this song is Gahyeon getting to belt the second half of the final chorus. Siyeon's vocals are very surprising when you listen to her talk, her voice is like very warm and husky? Kind of deep, really soothing. Also Siyeon's whistle notes in Minx days were chef's kiss. I love how stable Jiu is every time and that she's so well balanced. alright sir! this is literally my first time watching your channel and i love how you debunk the stunning vocals of dreamcatcher and at the same time being amazed by it. they literally don't know how to make a bad song 😂 anyway, there's a lot more to explore about dreamcatcher and i know you want to know them even more so i might recommend the guide to dreamcatcher 2020 as i recall it was a 40+mins video by krayjay if I'm not mistaken, it contains basically everything before scream i think, that video contains their history a little bit of some music intro and the members info from their positions up to their goofiness 😂 it's just a recommendation but it would be awesome if you could react on it because i love it when people reacts on how goofy they are off stage and how freakin serious they are on stage. you love this one so maybe you'll probably like their song "Mayday" and "Tension" that has some rocky vibes on it. 5:49 that's what i always have in mind. dreamcatcher is way beyond kpop. i don't really like any kpop groups, only those famous for their singing skills. dreamcatcher is the first "kpop" group that i would like to spend money buying their albums. and the fact that almost all their songs can perform with a live band and their true vocal really fascinates me!!!!
We all feel you on the bias front. Siyeon's owned me since I discovered them a couple of years ago (it was the gummy worms that did it), and JiU, and now Dami, are my official Wrecking Crew (Dami joined last year, I think when I met her, and she's been coming for me consistently ever since), but every one of them wrote me on a minute-to-minute basis. Luckily Siyeon's always around to remind me why I love her. 😜😍
Dreamcatcher has very good vocals and they always impress me with their music. Dami's rapping is really good. If you are interesting in good rappers you should check out EXID, who have LE as their rapper, who has also helped producing their music. Much more hip hop/R&B. To top it all off EXID also has Solji as their main vocal and she is counted among one of the best female vocalists in k-pop and the rest have improved their vocals over the years.
Actually Yoohyeon and JiU (my bias) are both lead vocalist they are really really good but is hard to shine when you have Siyeon in your group, can you check Jiu Honesty cover and Yoohyeon Secret Love Song cover i want to hear what a vocal coach thinks about both of them
Another nice reaction Austin. You're right about JiU. Her voice isn't as strong or versatile but she has worked very hard and learned to stay within what she's capable of. I've heard her sing in many live performances and she nails it every time. A real pro. Similar with her dancing. She is not a as sharp as SuA or Dami but she puts emotion and polish into it and nails it. She and Yoohyeon make a good matched pair of tall, 'visual' dancers out front in a lot of their choreography. And speaking of charisma and facial expressions, you'll have to watch Siyeon as you work your way through their videos. And Siyeon's a pretty good dancer herself.
They really need to do this song once with a live bandy. Like they did with mayday. They did that song with their Fandom Insomnia. It also has a Special Clip. If you are interested in it. It's also one of the songs the girls like to jam to in the car 😁

sadly zaty farhani are one of the ppl who earns lots and lots of money by copyrighting their own videos aka the money wont fully go to the actual artists wish i had the thread at hand, but basically most lyrics videos by these big accounts is a part of a huge scam where theyre churning these vids out to earn easy money

alright sir! this is literally my first time watching your channel and i love how you debunk the stunning vocals of dreamcatcher and at the same time being amazed by it. they literally don't know how to make a bad song 😂 anyway, there's a lot more to explore about dreamcatcher and i know you want to know them even more so i might recommend the guide to dreamcatcher 2020 as i recall it was a 40+mins video by krayjay if I'm not mistaken, it contains basically everything before scream i think, that video contains their history a little bit of some music intro and the members info from their positions up to their goofiness 😂 it's just a recommendation but it would be awesome if you could react on it because i love it when people reacts on how goofy they are off stage and how freakin serious they are on stage. you love this one so maybe you'll probably like their song "Mayday" and "Tension" that has some rocky vibes on it. Overall the channel is so awesome i love the radio version of scream reaction 😂 the way you explained everything fron breaths to postures and how they achieve such great voices it only made me even prouder insomnia hearing it from a professional. anyways i hope to see more dreamcatcher reactions from you, specially the live ones that would be pretty awesome and I'm sure a lot of insomnia's would love that. We all feel you on the bias front. Siyeon's owned me since I discovered them a couple of years ago (it was the gummy worms that did it), and JiU, and now Dami, are my official Wrecking Crew (Dami joined last year, I think when I met her, and she's been coming for me consistently ever since), but every one of them wrote me on a minute-to-minute basis.
Luckily Siyeon's always around to remind me why I love her. 😜😍
Dreamcatcher breaking the walls of kpop industry norms since 2017
Dreamcatcher has very good vocals and they always impress me with their music. Dami's rapping is really good. If you are interesting in good rappers you should check out EXID, who have LE as their rapper, who has also helped producing their music. Much more hip hop/R&B. To top it all off EXID also has Solji as their main vocal and she is counted among one of the best female vocalists in k-pop and the rest have improved their vocals over the years.
Actually Yoohyeon and JiU (my bias) are both lead vocalist they are really really good but is hard to shine when you have Siyeon in your group, can you check Jiu Honesty cover and Yoohyeon Secret Love Song cover i want to hear what a vocal coach thinks about both of them

Another nice reaction Austin. You're right about JiU. Her voice isn't as strong or versatile but she has worked very hard and learned to stay within what she's capable of. I've heard her sing in many live performances and she nails it every time. A real pro. Similar with her dancing. She is not a as sharp as SuA or Dami but she puts emotion and polish into it and nails it. She and Yoohyeon make a good matched pair of tall, 'visual' dancers out front in a lot of their choreography. And speaking of charisma and facial expressions, you'll have to watch Siyeon as you work your way through their videos. And Siyeon's a pretty good dancer herself.

My bias as well, for a lot of the same reasons. Her stage presence and vocal presence is clear and solid.
I like to say she "tells" when she raps (as opposed to "spitting" (jennie) or "talking" (irene) like other rappers - neither of which are meant as derogatory labels, just my way of identifying how they sound)
You and I share a lot of viewpoint on this group, and I would imagine on other groups as well. (shameless promotion: check out my reactions (that's where I use my line about Dami))
