    Can someone explain to me how it gets diluted? If you own 10% of something what's it matter who else owns the other 90%? How would it go down?

    • @vin-ramirez
      @vin-ramirez ปีที่แล้ว +16

      Equity dilution occurs when a company issues new shares to investors and when holders of stock options exercise their right to purchase stock. With more shares in the hands of more people, each existing holder of common stock owns a smaller or diluted percentage of the company.

    • @MrDragonorp
      @MrDragonorp 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      when new investors get 10% of a company lets say for 2 million$. the 100% of the current investors becomes 90% so every investor takes his percentage of the company and multiplies it by 0.9.
      thats the jist of it

    • @mrhumble2937

      @MrDragonorp oh ok, I always assumed the person gave a percentage of their stock not as a whole.

    The sharks talk about how they are going to be involved and give their expertise but how is Kevin going to be involved in give us expertise when this is the 75th company he invested in? Yes I’m exaggerating on the 75th. But I also could be right.

    I got a chance to invest in this company as part of their seed round. Something told me to invest even though I don't eat any of what he has. Good thing I did we are doing pretty well. Yeah having a nice huge diverse portfolio where all companies are doing well Helps big time! Have money coming In all over the place! Life is fun then lol

    I think they should just make another version of shark tank like food edition. Where they will get investors willing to invest in food/grocery business. Most of the sharks, don't really dare invest in this business segment. I guess worst case for the entrepreneur is they get the national publicity if they don't get a deal.
