Yes are an English progressive rock band formed in London in 1968. The band has undergone numerous line-up changes throughout its history, up to nineteen musicians have been full-time members. They have had a lot of great songs such as "Owner Of A Lonely Heart", "Roundabout", "Going For The One", "Masquerade", "Yours Is No Disgrace", "Heart Of The Sunrise", "The Gates Of Delirium", "And You & I", "Starship Trooper", "Close To The Edge" etc. Sadly drummer Alan White passed away recently.
YES is the greatest progressive rock group of all time and my favorite band. Some more good ones include "Roundabout", "Close to the Edge", "The Gates of Delirium". "Awaken", "Turn of the Century"... Loads of good ones. I subscribe to anyone who reacts to them and so will thousands of others so keep those YES songs coming.
YES, "LOVE WILL FIND A WAY". This band has beome part of my life ❤ for 51 years. Another YES Song. "AIM HIGH, SHOOT LOW". Also the group TRAFFIC, "DEAR MR. FANTASY", and "THE LOW SPARK OF HIGH HEELED BOYS".
'Awaken' all day, every day. The closest a non-believer can get to a religious experience imo. Listen to the original (always the album versions first with Yes) then watch Jon perform it with Todmobile. Glorious 🙂
Here is a little known fact about this song. The writer who is Trevor Rabin, who is the guitar player, originally wrote this song for Stevie Nicks and Stevie Nicks was going to record it for one of her albums, but the record executive heard this song and thought this was it a song more suited for yes I guess
Yes! Very good band ! Nice song not one of there best but good ! Don’t give up on them they have tremendous stuff. “Owner of a lonely heart” “it can happen” and of course many will probably suggest their biggest song “roundabout” you’ll get to like them👍❤️😊
Yes has been my fave band since 84', they are amazing, but this song is probably one of the least popular songs on the album among true Yes fans, and the album is one of the least popular albums among Yes fans. It's from when they mostly went "commercial" in the 80's when Trevor Rabin took over as lead composer/guitarist. Rabin did some great stuff with Yes, and he's an amazing musician, this album has a few good things on it, well.....anyway, start with their 70's stuff like Roundabout.
Uh, not....some of there earlier stuff was absolutely horrible. Yes would have not survived if they would have continued there current trend back then. Going for the one album, starship trooper and tempus fugit with Trevor horn brought yes back, and Trevor Rabin really brought yes back from oblivion. Regardless if you think it sounds like mainstream Pop, I respect your opinion. However I strongly disagree. Big generator and 90125 albums had a sound like no other band out there. As much as I like Boston, their albums sounded the same. But that's okay because Boston also had a sound like no other.
thankfully you are in a minority, Yes were unique, and can not be compared to poodle rock bands like Boston, everyone with any taste knows that 1970 to 1978 were the best yes albums with the best line up of highly talented and innovative musicians, The first two albums were poor and All later versions of the band were just trying to hang on to past glory, unsuccessfully in many attempts@@Wolfman1987
Great band and track
