It is not just the speed but your riding manners which affect the fuel economy. Such as, if you rev aggressively everywhere, brake hard very often, etc. you are unlikely to get a good economy. Smooth riding habits are a big factor. It is all about finding a balance between fuel consumed and distance covered. To be the most fuel efficient, you need to cover the maximum distances with the minimum fuel consumed.

In India, due to city traffic conditions, it is manageable to maintain 30-50kmph on the roads. The moment you go slower, you have to downshift to a lower gear, then rev more to get to your desired speed to return to the top gear. In highways, you might even get better fuel economy if you ride at a constant speed of 50 - 60 kmph on a 100-125cc motorcycles. It is because at this point although more fuel is going in but you are also covering further distances.

I'm riding YAMAHA FZ25.
Milage around 38-43 Kmpl
Highest milage i got was 43 Kmpl.
I loved to Maintain my bike.
I changes Engine oil and oil filter on Routines. I clean bike Chain sprockets every weekend. I use Chain cleaner and chain Lube every weekend.
I maintain check and put correct Air pressure weekly. I DON'T ride aggressively. I focus not riding half pressing brakes while riding or don't use Half clutch mostly on riding. I ride on proper gear as per bike's speed. I try to always ride on 40-60 Kmph .
Guys FOLLOW these factors and you will get great fuel economy or milage from your Dear BIKE.

Riding strictly upto 49 KM/h, average achieved is between 54.59 to 59.24 KM/hr.
At lower speed the average is 50KM/hr. Self maintained and servicing done under my supervision. Cheers,

I have Suzuki Burgeman Bluetooth bs6 top model it's giving per lit 40kmpl in city it's exactly I calculated but didn't calculate in highways road because I didn't trip in highways mostly I travel in city only. So in 4.250lit petrol it's running 175km burgeman fuel capacity is 5.5lit.
