Scorkel is pretty impressive that you can you a bike style pump to get the 2000+ psi found in scuba tanks
Its super dangerous unless you have scuba training. You can burst your lungs when surfacing if you dont understand the basics of scuba and gas expansion.
yea I agree with that, I am Padi certified, your really just need to know how to make an emergency controlled ascent, and to always keep breathing
I dont think that itll give 10 min. thats for trained divers. normal guys should get about 5min. how does the pump work? is it electric?
@@snowjammma - I wanted one of these years ago before I got dive certified. Im glad I never got one because there are just to many things to go wrong without proper training.
Imagine a kid or teenager thinking all they need to do is continue breathing as they ascend and theyll be fine...But they dont realize they have to ascend at a slow speed making a stop at 3meters before final ascent. Or what if they dont realize there is a limit to the time they can spend underwater before nitrogen starts to build up in the bloodstream? Or what if they decide to dive deep....30 meters/100ft, begin breathing the compressed air but dont have a pressure gauge or watch to monitor their time. Now they have to make an emergency ascent exhaling all the air in their lungs from 100ft down. And what if everything works out well so they decide to do it over and over again not realizing how close they are to a deathly situation? What if they never learned rule number 1....Never dive alone? And if they do end up in a situation where they need to perform medical treatment right away, they'll have no idea whats supposed to be done which makes a mild situation potentially deadly.
There are just too many bad things that can happen without proper knowledge. Thats why its a requirement in most parts of the world to require dive training before allowing someone to use compressed air products in a water environment.
My family and I have a lake house on leech lake in Minnesota, will definitely have to get one of these this summer. We’ve tried pretty much everything and we need something new to try.

I have never dived in my life (only like 2 meters) and I was thinking exactly the same. Especially after I heard you pump it with your bicycle pump :D
Yea, somebody is going to pop a lung for sure. Some kid is going to dive down 40ft, breath the compressed air, then surface without exhaling not realizing their lungs will expand as they surface.

@@Tom-ys7cz Not everyone knows the dangers of decompression. That’s why burst lung syndrome is still way more common than it should be
@@Tom-ys7cz you always need to breath. If you are out of the air you you need to slowly ascend and breath out slowly
