Thanks for the review, but please show us the cards and stuff you are talking about next time! 🙏 It’s so much easier to follow when you can see what the cards etc look like. 🙂
Thanks a lot. I just picked this up at a discount and am really looking forward to getting it to the table tomorrow for the first time. I've seen people complaining about the luck of the draw from the bag. Do you think the game would change dramatically, if instead of blind drawing you'd just award VP tokens based on the number of fights they won each round?
@@BoardGameCo Thanks so much for the shoutout Gargoyle. And Alex, please let me know if I can answer any questions as the designer of The Ghosts Betwixt. Very much appreciated!
I don't think this game is for me. I did however find a fantastic area control game that is for sure staying in my collection. Renature, I think you might love it!
Not sure what you mean based on the phrasing of the question? If you're asking if the length of time is the only think making it a keep for me right now, then yes. If this were longer it doesn't hold up against other games in the genre for me.
There are some really great, complex, area control games, but they take a long time to play. There are a few games that try to do area control in moderate amounts of time and with moderate overhead, but I often find I'd rather be playing the heavier ones. This one is truly a light weight quick to play area control game, and I feel it fills a different role than those long area control games and fills a niche for me
Kitara is easily one of my favourites of 2020. Now in my top 20

So, what I hear you saying is that this game is SCYTHE, with cards instead of the resources or production elements?
Umm....on the barest surface level sure?
