- Bella Ramsey and Patrick Stewart's bond is so wholesome.
Together on Graham’s sofa this week: star of stage and screen Patrick Stewart, talking about his memoir Making It So; Oscar-nominated Ralph Fiennes, playing Macbeth in a groundbreaking new staging of the Shakespeare play; brilliant young actor Bella Ramsey, star of The Last of Us, discussing her role in BBC drama Time; Layton Williams, currently owning the dancefloor on Strictly Come Dancing and the great Dame Joan Collins, whose book Behind the Shoulder Pads lifts the lid on her sparkling life and career. I would literally MAKE SOMETHING UP just to talk to Sir Patrick. 😂❤❤❤
Her beside Patrick Stewart and Ralph Fiennes feels so good. Two of the greats meet a young new talent.
That would be so wild to sit on the same couch with Ralph Fiennes and Patrick Stewart
They were Seti and Ramses in Prince of Egypt :)
Love the interaction w Patrick Stewart
So pure and innocent I love it.
Bella Ramsay's grandfather got himself a "Jub"

@@Exisist5151 especially you.
There were couple of instances where Americans laughed at my accent speaking English. So I wrote them a French sentence and laughed back at them.
Love it.
Everybody's got an accent, we just can't hear it in ourselves unless we really look into it.
How can you tell if someone's from Yorkshire?
Don't worry, they'll tell you.

Yeah, as a student at the uni of Nottingham, I don't quite understand how to distinguish a working-class Leicestershire accent from other South Midlands accents. One student from Leicester had a similar accent to parts of Northamptonshire. But because there is so much countryside in the East Midlands, it is easy to assume that there are posher people as well...
The Leicester accent is Nottingham layered with Birmingham. Don't know what accent she is meant to have, but it's not Leicester.

@WilliamSmith-mx6ze my dad's girlfriend is from leicester and she doesn't have the accent that you said so no
I was able to understand her way more than I can understand Adele. Adele is like a whole new level of fluency. Being able to understand her should be required as some final listening exame. 😂
Adele’s accent is a tough look
I love her accent
Im in love 😍
My grandmother, my mums mum, who I very sadly never got to meet (passed in her 50’s from undiagnosed lymphatic leukaemia, very sudden passing, & only my eldest brother was alive then, he was around 2) was from Yorkshire but sadly we didn’t know where. I’m in east anglia born & bred, my father is from Wiltshire. I’m very proud of my northern heritage ☺️ x

I'm not even British and even I can hear that she has an accent.
Because everyone has an accent.
She doesn't really have much of an accent. It mostly just sounds RP. A bit of midlands in there in parts, as she says, but it's not super pronounced.
@@ProPuke Nah shes kinda "posh northern but by no means Northern RP.
@@tisFrancesfault I woulda said "posh" and RP is the same thing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Either way it's not regional.
It mostly sounds neutral posh/rp, only a mild touch of northern accent - That was what I meant.

Hey Lady
Reeeecccassssstttt eeelllllliiiiieeeeee!!!!
Why do so many people say "I don't have an accent" don't we all have accents? Someone pls explain like I'm 5
It's a relative statement. In the US when someone says they don't have an accent, it usually means they speak like national news anchors. No Boston, no Southern, no Bronx, no California, no Northern...the absense of all readily identifiable accents. But that is still considered an accent to the British because it's different than their standard 'British non-accented English'.
They just mean a distinct regional accent, like Geordie, Scouse, Mancunian, Brummie etc.
Is she the actor for that mormont leader girl from got?
Yep
"further up nirrth"... Yeah no accent there...
Who is she?
Bella Ramsey, apparently goes by they/them pronouns but not sure and don't particularly care. (not tryna be rude) but anyway she played the worst witch for the first three seasons then left and is in other stuff aswell
The Last of Us series - highly recommended

who cares about the accent? it divides people, qualifying where they are from. what matters is effective communication
I love it when people tell me they “don’t have an accent”. Spoiler alert: you absolutely do, I don’t care who you are. 😂
Why is this a clip? I've been more entertained watching paint dry. SMH
So easy to dislike her.
She pronounces leistershire like an American. Its not shear, it's shir
I'm from Leicester and everyone I know including me pronounces it the same way she did
@graceisadisgrace8625 hmm it's funny because there are old folk songs that pronounce shire as shear, such as Lincolnshear. Maybe the shire pronounced shir, is an RP corruption of original pronunciation. That would explain we early settlers in the US still say Shear, win which case Shear is possibly the correct way yo say it. Interesting
@@jamesbyrne9312 I think you might be right about it being an RP corruption, I can definitely imagine someone posh saying it more like 'shir'
Completely went off her once she went non binary
Why? Has it affected their acting?
