Yes the camera is great! Infact the video specifications of this camera and sony a6400 are same! And the distance between camera and subject/area depends on your lens. For your purpose, I would suggest you to buy the 16-50mm kit lens that comes with the camera.
50mm 1.8 oss because isme optical stready shot hai. But agar aap gimbal use kar rhe ho toh without oss wala lens bhi bohot sahi kaam kar jayega... maine oss liya hai because mai kabhi kabhi handheld bhi use karta hu. Hope I was able to clear your doubt.

How to shoot with full frame with this camera. My video getting cropped after it turn it ON
It has APSC crop sensor and not a full frame sensor.

Yes I agree with your comment on quality. It looks like the camera's 1080p 100M footage is not as sharp as 4K. I realised this during the post.
