    Your videos are so beautiful, the scenery is totally amazing and you do a great job of sharing it with us. Breathtaking, for sure. I am a seventy nine year old lady, I have cancer and your
    videos give me so much pleasure. I get to see the places I've dreamed of but never got to see. While watching I feel that I am actually along with you .I thank you for your love of hiking and videoing what you experience, I thank you for being a really nice person. God be with you, can't wait for your next video!!

      Thanks. I didn't know about the PCT and all the beauty until I was diagnosed in 2019. Three surgeries later, I was clear to do it. Life is short and no matter what age, we never know how much time we have. For those who can't make it to the trail or up the trail, I'm glad I was able to bring to you what I could. Unfortunately, I will only have one remaining video (for now) as the Mountains have taken their toll on me...time to come home and take care of my body. Home to recover, gain a little weight and strength back, with no regrets. Not that I need to explain myself and choice, but I will fill you all in soon! 🙏 Prayers for your health and well being - Cancer sucks!!

    No wonder John Muir was such a proponent for the wildness of the sierras. Your videos are making me miss my mountains so much

    Wallace creek to Kearsarge junction is my favorite section of the JMT. Bighorn Plateau and Forester Pass are my favorite to hike. The climb from Vidette Mdw to Kearsarge Jct kicks my butt every time. As always great video.

    you are making me want to go backpacking real bad right now. And to be walking in the footsteps of John Muir. Amazing!!!

      Good to hear. Takes a lot if time, off trail to post, but have a couple more videos coming soon. Realistically, with the amount of miles I've hiked so far and the time, thru Hiking to Canada is not possible this year with the Vlogging I'm doing. But others will continue on with shorter videos. But glad I can show you (and others) what I have seen and experienced, thus far. Best to you with your planning and endeavors on the PCT next year! 👍🏽👣😎

    Such a gorgeous section! I did a 5 day trip over Kearsarge 25+ years ago. A trip I'll never forget. I really enjoy your interest in the other hikers and the interviews. Continued great videos! They're not too long for me! 🌻💛👏

    We always have lunch at Wallace Crk before moving on and the section after Wallace is the best views, best section. Tyndall Frog pond is another great spot to camp.

      Free standing for hard rock and snow conditions and ability to see the stars : ) (temporary switch, convenience of friends holding gear in Bishop.)

    Going backwards a minute...where did you get off the trail to get into Lone Pine? Trailhead name?

    • @mannyontrailPCT
      @mannyontrailPCT  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Horseshoe Meadows road to and from Lone Pine will get you to Trail Pass or Cottonwood Pass. Both lead to and from the trail. I have come down and up both. (NOT the Whitney Portal Trail.) From Lone Pine drive about 3.5 miles up Whitney Portal road, then left onto Trail Pass road...20 miles up to Trail heads!
