Just fitted this exact red dot setup on my 17 gen 5 pellet version and can highly recommend it. Much improved accuracy and much improved enjoyment of this pistol
The red dot really adds to the look of the Glock , which can not only enhance it's appeal purely aesthetically but practically with the improved accuracy that's theoretically possible with the red dot attached . I was wondering what the differences are between the 5.8422 and 5.8450 models. It seems that the 5.8450 has a CNC metal slide, but I thought they all had metal slides. The 5.8450 model also has a slower velocity, probably because more CO2 is required to move the slide for the blowback effect? Comparing the speeds, the CNC version seems to have a 21% drop in speed (reducing the distance and accuracy of the gun). What are your thoughts on them?
I'm with you people i was going to buy this Glock but along with 3 dealers i have tried to buy the mos from, all said no pellet models available , NOOOOOOO wrong i v'e found there is a pellet version, i'm on my way this week to secure the pellet version iv'e even had the chance to shoot one at my club so people on yer way pellet mos are there !!!
Looks like the 19x and 17 gen 4 made a baby. Now I gotta get this one. I’ve got both previously mentioned based off your recommendations and videos so thanks for your great work. Love it 👍👍👍🔫
Hi Andy Love the show and big shout to the Misses ! Started out similar to you with the Webley Tempest , but didn't Ricochet my Mum in the Butt LoL . All the Best ❤xxx
Well that Glock certainly looks great and it has all the bells and whistles. But I personally would have no desire to buy it because I have a CO2 BB semi-automatic and it holds 21 shots, it has a top slide feeder on the barrel where the babies go in the CO2 cartridge his hidden inside the pistol grip. Nothing fancy no bells and whistles, but what I do have is a very accurate and powerful pistol at 495 ft per second and I can hit a 4X 2.5 " soup can from 40 feet. And it is only $54 US money . And I like that so much that I bought another one and put a laser on it so I don't have to take it off when I carry it concealed. I like to shoot catalog books and the BBs usually penetrates to 50 to 60 pages in. It is an excellent self-defense pistol. I have a life-size sketch of a human face and and at 7 m I can put six shots right in the forehead , I can also put 7 shotts in a hand life-size from 7 m. The pistol is made by Daisy it's a, Daisy 4:15 model.
That's the neat part, there is no safety. The only user-operated "safety" is the trigger safety which is more of a drop safety (which Glock has several of internally) that gets disengaged the second you put your finger on the trigger. That means the pistol is not only ready to fire the second you put your finger on the trigger (whether that's a plus or minus depends on how much training one has) but it can also be accidentally fired by, let's say, a tangled headphones wire or a branch or anything that finds its way onto the trigger.
I own about a dozen airgun replicas of many models, most of which shoot BBs, but I've never had ANY of them drop a BB from the barrel like this one (@7:07). I hope this one is defective? Or is the build quality getting down from Umarex (or whatever manufacturer that actually produces airguns for them)?
I think it's caused by racking the slide twice without firing. It loads a second BB into the chamber and pushes out the one already in there. My Gen 4, USP and 1911 will do this too.
Umarex also have the Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS from SRC as a BB version, essentially the same system as their airsoft one, with a pretty good trigger and also can be field stripped. Haven't had the chance to shoot it yet, but I'd guess that it would be a much better choice compared to this one, especially considering the asking price is just €10 more. The trigger on this Umarex system is really poor and in my experience, the higher FPS numbers can't really make up for the loss in accuracy due to the poor trigger, even at short ranges my groupings tend to be much worse with this system. In fact, in terms of accuracy I'll take the airsoft replicas over this particular system any day. Not a bad pistol per se, but I feel the asking price is way too high for what it is, shouldn't be more than €120 in my opinion.
Evening Andy, nice review, i've picked up the same pistol today, Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS 4.5mm BB, but mines slightly different as the slide locks all the way to the rear on mine after last shot and the mag is different aswell, but everything else is the same, take care 🙂
I was with you, wallet in hand, right up to the phrase " BB version" at which point my eyes glazed over, I don't know if it's the richocet issue or perceived inaccuracies of said ammo
@@Georgio10196 I really dislike bad triggers, I had a pellet firing Co2 Walther and I took it back because I hated the trigger, especially being used to a HW 45 or air guns/airsoft guns with better triggers. The Glock would be perfect with a good trigger. Would you say it's bad enough that it ruins it? I hope they find a way to make one that fires pellets, with blowback and a nice trigger. I don't care if the real Glock has a bad trigger, it's somehitng that I think would ruin it for me. How about you? Do you enjoy it still?
@@Georgio10196 The trigger on the BB versions is even worse, believe it or not. With the pellet version, it is terrible but at least it is consistent, on the BB version it also varies depending on the amount of BBs in the magazine. You never get a consistent trigger pull from those. Umarex also has a BB version with a proper single action trigger, essentially the same as with the old Glock 17 Gen 4, the airsoft version in 4,5mm BB. Less power, but a good consistent trigger pull is way more important than ~70 fps more for accuracy.
I can't see any advantage of buying this over a Vorsk, Raven, WE, etc... Airsoft Glock. In the UK as airsoft has to be under 1 Joule so getting close to that with a 0.2 Gram plastic ball is not easy. I'd like to see some chronograph data on your Glock The other advantages of buying the airsoft version is there's an abundance of spare parts. And not only spare parts, but customised parts. In one of my Glocks I have a twisted outer barrel and a gold slide with cutouts that not only reduce the wight meaning faster shots and less gas use, but shows off that twisted outer barrel. The G17 airsoft comes with that removable plate most of the times. Even the Umarex Paintball Glock has that removable plate. I would also like to say that if you buy a RDS for the airsoft Glock it does come with different adaptor plates for your gun. But that might just be with airsoft.. Buy the airsoft version it's so much cheaper and does the same. But you get all those cheap upgrades and spare parts.
WOW finally a replica that is not covered in white writing all over the place. It looks really good from both sides. I had a Glock when I lived in the States and yes they do rattle until you insert a loaded magazine and the rounds apply pressure against the slide from below. To bad it is BB but it looks so good that I may get it anyway.
