    Try to use a 24v alternator to charge the other two died batteries, for maybe 5min. Usually it will revive them back.

    What size is the water hose barbs used to go to your pump to connect to the tankless water heater? What is the size of tubing that you are using on your pump to heater setup? I am having trouble in finding the connectors which will work to make this pump connection to the water heater. I have my unit mounted on a roll about dolly with the propane tank strapped onto it and the dolly having a wooden cover made to house the tankless water heater on, as well as the off/on switch and motor. I plan to use my tankless water heater setup to heat my hot tub with. I do have one other question for you, too. I have not completed my setup just yet, as i had problems in finding the fittings to allow for my hose to the pump, as I stated. However, the knob to the right on the unit seems very loose to me. I wrote to Champlux, but they have not replied, yet, I did not know if this was normal or if something got squashed in shipping. Is there any adjustment to tighten this knob down, as far as you know. I can push it from side to side in the hole that the knob is inserted into. I didn't want to remove the cover, for fear of damaging something. Thanks for any replies. Nice video.

      the connections to the pump came with the pump. to the water heater i went to home depot and found the fittings that would work.

    What triggers the heater to fire? Is it low pressure or water flow? I’ve always wanted to do this but if it’s a pressure drop in the line it would make it difficult to keep lines charged with pressure in a boondocks situation.

    • @ArizonaHotHomestead
      @ArizonaHotHomestead  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      as long as the water pressure is above 25psi and flowing (turn the faucet on) it will light the heater. if the psi is to low it will not stay on. the copper tubing walls are really thin so the water heats quickly but also means dont let it reach 30 degrees it will damage the unit.

    Hi there, I’m trying to add a variable speed control switch to my 12V diaphragm pump to set up a sprinkler system for my reptiles. I can’t figure out the wiring... I’ve got red and yellow wires and I originally hooked the pump up to a dc 12v plug so I could plug it into the wall. The pump is too powerful so I’m just trying to decrease the flow of water with the speed control. Any help or advice would be awesome!

    • @ArizonaHotHomestead
      @ArizonaHotHomestead  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      not sure the speed control switch should have a wire diagram with it . think of it this way the speed control switch is only controlling the power to the pump. at little power the pump will barely open but at full power the pump runs full speed.... I would probably instead use a ball valve to control the flow of water. set the ball valve so when the pump is running the flow or volume of water coming out is to your liking. use a timer to control when the pump runs and for how long. that's would I would do instead of using a control switch.... hope that helps you.

    How long can you run the pump before needing to charge the battery?

    • @ArizonaHotHomestead
      @ArizonaHotHomestead  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      the pump is rated at 10amps per hour so depends on how many amps in your battery. your not going to use it for an hour continuously so overall 10amps it might take a few hours .

    Hmm, I noticed my old water pump in my trailer didnt have its ground wire hooked up to anything- and theres no wires tucked away to hook it into: is that because trailers already use power converter and therefore the current is already grounded as AC?

    • @4uthick
      @4uthick 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The pump is 12 v or 120v you should ground to metal framing. But most all pump are frame/chassis grounded so all ways mount to frame

    • @ArizonaHotHomestead

    wondering if you have any advice, the wires from my water pump switch in bathroom go behind wall in my camper so i can't trace it to troubleshoot why switch isn't getting voltage & thereby why pump isn't of course getting voltage either...pump still runs w/makeshift direct to battery test...i can't see or understand exactly what battery wire/s run to switch either...a lot of stuff runs behind water tank under couch if not straight up behind the wall...enough's exposed i think to figure out hopefully if not rewire?...but better to use existing switch hopefully that just worked perfectly until now...any suggestions? thanks!

    • @ArizonaHotHomestead
      @ArizonaHotHomestead  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      use a mutli meter to test the continunity between the wire ends. becus the ends are so far apart you may need to add wire to your multi meter leads to reach. your looking for a break in the wire. its thin stranded wire if a rodent got in there they will chew it in half. othewise maybe a loose connection.

      I looked on the pump to see the amps it draws and got an inline fuse holder then got a cylinder glass fuse that was slightly more amps. I don't remember the amps but for example if the pump said 6 amps I used a 10amp fuse. if the pump said 12 amps I would use a 15 amp fuse. etc.... great question

      its a 12v pump you would need a type of step down converter that also changes the ac volts to dc. kind of like what is used to charge phones . i am sure they exist but i dont know what its called but make sure you find one that meets the amps of the pump.

  • @4uthick
    @4uthick 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    please STOP ASAP on the way you explain electrical wiring because your 100% incorrect and your wordage could hurt someone. all switches disconnect the power on 120v the reason you have a white and black is because houses are wired in romex the white and black mean the same thing as your 2 red wire mean. 1 feeds to switch with current & 1 returns to device to complete circuit on 12v your black is the same as the white just different wire jacket colors and yes you should always use grounds to earth even more so when around water. I was confused because the pump your using is pressure regulated shut off the water flow and soon after pressure has leveled off the pump will turn off turn on valve and pump starts.
