I always believed that there was a very intelligent and decent human being hiding inside of Trisha.. and the way Trish has handled herself in this situation has been admirable, grace under fire. Also she has principles, Colleen might enjoy making fun of Trish’s photos and her profession, but Trisha has never interacted with minors and children, she has never gotten behind somebody’s paywall and then, without that person’s knowledge or permission sent their nudes and videos to others including minors, Trisha has never made 9 year old boys put their hand down her pants, or humiliated young girls for their choice of dress or spread their legs open on stage in front of an audience… it’s clear that Trisha really has put in a lot of work on managing her illness and growing as a person. Colleen only befriendedTrisha so that she could mock her behind her back. For a fragile person with low self-esteem like Trisha, to be gaslit like that by someone that you considered a friend is not just hurtful, it is cruel. I think it is being well established now that Colleen Ballinger thrives on being cruel to others..Trish has to be feeling so violated and betrayed at the moment.

I actually feel for Trisha, it’s really hard as woman in your thirties and a mum to feel connected and to make friends. You have changed a lot physically and mentally. When some one betrays you it really exhausts you and makes you withdraw. Trisha has some real bad moments in her time but I still am empathetic to this betrayal. Poor woman.

how exactly could body shaming someone that's supposed to be your friend and sending pictures of their naked body to minors be something simply "taken out of context"
that implies that there is a context in which that isn't horrible. there's no possible fucking context in which that isn't atrocious in every way.
but tragically, i think that if shane dawson can be welcomed back after what he's done, colleen won't face anything close to what she deserves for how awful of a person she is. these aren't actions you can pass off as a mistake, but the internet being the way it is, i would not be surprised if in some capacity people continued to support colleen and her content. especially since, despite the fact she is an active danger to children, they are her main audience and they don't have the critical thinking skills to process the situation.

Adam McIntyre has been making videos about this for 3 years (but also in the last few weeks even if you haven’t been aware of this story for 3 years).

Did anyone else have supporting Trisha and denouncing Colleen on their 2023 BINGO? No..... me either, but here we are. And for being the only creator with her to speak out. I'm actually really proud of how her response went, considering how some of her responses have gone in the past. This could have easily devolved more and blew back on her with people consistently (and maybe rightfully) equating Trish with drama and being the problem. It at least shows lots of growth for her. I haven't supported her in the past through her other controversies, but wow... No one deserves any of this, especially from someone who you thought was a friend. I kinda get why she wanted proof tbh, considering her past dramas and stuff. With such serious accusations about distributing her nudes to minors, I wouldn't want to believe word of mouth... though I might try harder to investigate instead of just take the accused's word about it but I digress, she wanted to trust her friend. I'm glad she's taking it so seriously now anyway.

I see Trisha to be a lot like myself, which is why I don't villify her. She clearly has BPD and is a highly sensitive person that has difficulty regulating her emotions. I am very much the same. I have never been a viewer or fan of Colleen because her shit was always so juvenile. But I've followed Trisha's career throughout the years. I'm so happy for her and the peace she has found. I consider this issue to be entirely Colleens, and I wasn't even sure why Trisha made a video about it. So as a commentary TH-camr, maybe giving a little more background into the situation would be a good idea, instead of just sitting there and complaining about how Trisha's video isn't catchy like Miranda's was with her little song. That's something else I'm starting to dislike about commentary tubers. They will put other tubers down for anything, but we as the viewer don't really know anything about the commentary TH-camrs themselves.
