Very excited to be starting this course!! Looks amazing. Thanks for making it. I really appreciate all the hard work and care you put into this whole thing. Big thank you.
In IT you don't need math or physics at some high level. You just need basic math to count Devices etc. We don't work on any type of advance math in IT Support, Administration roles. If you went into networking then you will need to know how calculate IP addresses. Now everything is available online so that is also not a problem. However if you are getting into programming that's a different story.
Awesome video!! I'm a restaurant manager that is looking to change careers and get into IT. Your video built a great picture of what IT work really looks like for me. Now I just need to land my first IT job so I can put my 2 week notice in at this restaurant 😂.
Sorry for the late reply. So, one year later and I have finally made the jump from restaurant work to IT. For the past 7 months I have been a desktop support specialist for an IT company here in Houston, and a couple of days ago I applied for a Junior Cloud Analyst position with the same company and should be hearing back about that potential promotion here in the next couple of days. I'm so glad I made the career change, and I'm just excited to see where I can take it myself in the tech industry. The company I work for heavily promotes learning and further developing our skills, so for me it feels like the possibilities are endless with the to support I get from the leaders and my peers on the job. To anybody thinking about making that jump into IT work, I heavily suggest doing so.
