Thanks! It's a great place, we'd happily go back too. Koh Phangan is fun...just be aware of their rainy season as we seemed to be there for all of it 🤣
Great question! No I didn't't have to. They are welcome to take a photo or a copy if they must but I would always avoid leaving my passport with someone else. It's way too important.
@@EscobaaPablo I couldn’t tell you. Best thing to do is make sure you have insurance and MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE RIGHT LICENCE! Your insurance will be void if you don’t have a motorcycle licence. I’ve heard many horror stories where people learnt that the hard way!!
Hi 👋🏼 yes you can always get a Songthaew, the pickup trucks that are constantly driving up and down the island. You will be able to wave these down or organise a pickup from your hotel. There are plenty of day tour offers around the island as well, including 4WD tours to the jungle 😊
have you ever driven a motor bike or a big scooter? are you experienced? if not leave it, just dont do it. there are so many accidents, really a lot. then you have to take a songtaew which can be super pricey. depends on day / night time and how many people are in the taxi. if you are only 2 people you have to pay the whole taxi...or wait till more people come. a ride from north to south can get up to 1000 Baht. 1500 Baht in the night.
It’s hot & humid too! 😆 at least when we were there. A lot of rain too. But otherwise it’s a cool island, lots to see & do and many nice cafes etc worth a visit!
Petrol station is not only way cheaper, it is way better petrol (real petrol and not filled with water) and you gonna get 1 litre if you paid for 1 litre. In these glass bottles are 750 ml maximum.
well, it's holiday. but if you are living there and have your own motor bike it's very important not to use this crap petrol full of water. your engine dies in some months... @@cjexplores
Or, support your local person trying to make 10 baht on a litre of petrol and eek out a living. Same thing happens in Goa, never had a problem with street fuel in either. Western people live a life of privilege, we get to go see their world, but they can never come see ours. 10 baht is nothing to us but makes a difference to the locals. 👍
lol...if you ride a bike with water in the petrol the engine will die very soon. Thats a fact. Point. I like supporting locals but not at the cost of killing my 10.000 Euro bike. Easy as that@@R-Tap
Happy new year guyz🎉 Hope you are having a BLAST.. love your content and energy. I'm a video editor and I wonder if we can have a quick chat/call maybe! I have emailed you as well.
Hey man nice trip! I wish to return back to Thailand to visit that island the following months!

Some lovely beaches there! Good way to get about and explore 🏍️ Thanks Cory, glad you’re feeling better 👍🏻😍
Thanks Tracy! Feeling much better 😁

Did you have to give your passport also as deposit apparently they want to keep your passport when you take out a moped ?

@@cjexploresThanks for that . Last question if unfortunately you crash or damage what’s the most cash they want for a write off lol😊

@@cjexplores Which licence do they accept or how to obtain? Lucky I found you hahaha
@@EscobaaPablo a standard motorbike licence is fine, just make sure you get the international driving permit from your home country.
Is it easy enough to get rides around the island? My husband and I both aren't sure we want to rent motorbikes. We'll be there in March!

@@NBW_75 thanks for your advice! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
This is my favourite video while researching KP. Hate to say but your girlfriend is a bit too "intsa" and you are more authentic. More of you please!
🤣 I hope she doesn't read this comment! Thanks for the support though 🙏🏼 glad you found it helpful!

What's Koh Phagnan like? Well, it's quite hot and humid right now (compared to Chiang Mai or Chiang Rai). Today is January 2, 2024.

but mostly a sea wind is helping cooling you down.

@@NBW_75 it’s a wonder that the rental companies don’t tell you about this… especially since it would destroy their bikes 🏍️

My fav island minus the fmp where people just throw all the plastics on the beautiful beach or into the ocean.
