@@JooseTheNomadTBH I don’t understand how u can like Changgu if u like swimming and tranquility (because in one of your videos u complained about how busy Chaweng Beach on Koh Samui was) because Changgu (as well as the whole stretch of coast from Kuta to there):is anything but tranquil. Also u can hardly anywhere swim there due to reef currents and waves. The sea is brown due to the fine brown sand and the waves. And every 1-2 km, untreated sewage is flowing into the sea. Many people (who swallow sea water) get sick because of the bacteria in the water. It’s anyway comparing apple with pear. IMHO would be more appropriate to compare Chaweng Beach with Changgu.
@@MrMediterrano Point is that Canggu is the only place that is really nice long term because of the food, gyms, padel, people, etc. But yes I love spending few months in places like Koh Phangan every year
@@JooseTheNomad IMHO from the reasons u have mentioned, only people is a valid one, as Bali and esp. the areas between Changgu and Seminyak has a lot of nomads staying long-term as well as many expats permanently living there. For me, however, that area gets de qualified even for a short stay because for me it’s totally unacceptable to be in Asia by the sea without being able to swim to your heart’s content. You can get almost everything for much less than in that video if you‘re not after the fancy vegan/freelancer/touristy places. For example, the average price for a coconut if you buy it on a market or a regular place would be around 40-50 Baht, which is ~$1.30, so almost half as much as he‘s paying. You can pretty much decide what your priorities are and then get the same kind of experience in different price levels
@@TheRealNik. Well it's probably nicer to sit down in a nice beach bar to relax and sip a coconut while watching sunset than in the market😄 But you're right!
@@JooseTheNomad Of course it is, therefore I‘m not saying it‘s not worth it, but just that it’s a matter of personal priorities. If you‘d, for example, bring a beer from 7-11 to the beach instead of getting it on the bar, you‘d easily save 50%+. It‘s all a matter of convenience and the budget you travel on. Enjoyed your video, just wanted to add this for people who might got surprised by the high cost and encourage them that it’s also possible in a different way :)
